Imagine Buster Keaton directingLaurel & Hardy. Add a dash of theabsurd, flying saucers and boxes.Lots and lots of boxes!

Outside, economic catastrophelooms, young people can’t findwork, food prices rocket, the oldsee their pensions plummet.

Inside, oblivious, they squabbleover who should make the tea.

Dumbfounded when theirwarehouse world falls apart, theyfind themselves in a bleakwasteland where they confront, with comic precision, themeaning of life!

Miss Julie byAugust Strindbergpresented by UK Touring TheatreBanned in the UK for 50 yearswhen first written, Miss Julieshocked critics across Europe withits frank portrayal of sexuality andinter-class relationships in 19thcentury society. Now widelyregarded as Strindberg’smasterpiece, its vivid depiction ofthe class system is still as pertinenttoday.

Midsummer's Eve, Sweden, 1888.The Count's daughter and hisvalet cross social and sexualboundaries and must face theconsequences.

While the servants’ partycontinues in the barn outside, aristocratic Miss Julie is drawn tothe kitchen and to the sociallyambitious Jean, her father’s valet. What starts as a harmlessflirtation soon descends into aferocious power struggle andbattle of the sexes, from whichneither can escape.
