Business Emergency Operations Center (BEOC)

The BEOC is a central hub for business and industry where information is shared, between the public and private sectors in the response, coordination in the recovery, training in preparedness and collaboration in mitigation. Mutual aid between businesses is encouraged, problems are solved, and resource requests from government can be tasked out to partners across sectors. Donations from the private sector are coordinated here.

Mission: To provide situational awareness and information sharing to the private sector during times of disaster and gather the same in support of the common operating picture, the collaboration of effort and the mutual recovery/stabilization after an event.

*N.C.G.S 166A-1970 –ensures the availability of emergency supplies and utility services to mitigate the impact of a hazard on communities. *exempts essential commerce from local curfew restrictions*mandates a certification system for transporting essentials into curfew areas *empowers executive authority to seek federal waivers to address in-state petroleum disruption *Administered by DPS, Division of EM*Issued annually to vendors, utility providers and other personnel for access into curfew areas.
