Planning Tool• District-wide initiative

− Collaboration across Programs− Not specific to a grant or group of grants

• Fiscal year specific; no need to create from scratch each year

• Does not have a submission or approval workflow• At least one Goal and Fiscal Resource have to be

identified

Page 12: North Carolina Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Plan (NCCCIP)

Planning Tool• A Fiscal Resource is an estimate of funds going

toward the accomplishment of a Goal

• More than one grant contributes funds to Goal

• A grant might contribute funds to more than one goal

• A Fiscal Resource does not directly draw down funds from BUDS/BAAS

Planning Tool versus Funding Application

• Planning Tool – Incorporates goals across all grants

– Open for continuous updates and revisions as needed

• Funding application– Includes specific requirements for each grant

– Based on the current year’s planning allotment

Page 15: North Carolina Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Plan (NCCCIP)

Funding Application• Authoritative data is used where possible to

avoid duplication of entry– Budget from BUD/BAAS (read only)

– Building Eligibility (Title I) from CFDC/ESSR

• Has an Approval workflow

Page 16: North Carolina Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Plan (NCCCIP)

Funding Application• Link between District Plan and Funding

Application – Goal and Strategy, plus either of the following:
