    S tudents served by Communities in Schoolshave diverse backgrounds and ethnicities. 48%

    are male and 52% are female. 54% are black,

    14% are Hispanic/Latino, and 25% are white.

    Communities In Schools continue to reach the

    most economically disadvantaged families, with

    89% of students eligible for free or reduced price

    lunch. Statistically, economically disadvantaged

    students of color are dropping out of school in

    disproportionately high numbers.
