About UsWelcome to United Environmental Manufacturing Supply, Inc. / Hose and Televising, formerly UEMSI, serving the industry since 1989.

In the early 1970s, pipeline maintenance and inspec on systems were anything but state-of-the-art. The fi rst pipeline inspec on cameras were 8mm cameras retrofi ed into a steel tube with window glass fi xed onto the open end to be used as a viewing port. This showcases just how far the industry has come, with pan-and- lt, self-lit cameras becoming the norm in the 2000s.

All-the-while, a dedicated group of individuals in Wisconsin have grown with the mes, providing quality, low-maintenance parts and equipment for the changing world. The current cast of UEMSI/HTV and Televising has been in-place for nearly a decade, with three employees da ng back to those early 8mm inspec on systems.

In 1991, the Predator color push camera system proved to a steady, trouble-free system. Three years later, the economical Chaser black-and-white camera push camera system was added to the lineup. Later, the ini al ProCam system improved both in color imagery as well as upgraded recording methods. It was later superseded by the ProCam DVR System, which has proved to be UEMSI/HTV’s best-selling camera.

Through the years, UEMSI/HTV has evolved its camera selec on to provide duct inspec on cameras, je ng cameras, pan-and- lts as well as a full line of camera transports and underground loca on equipment.

The company didn’t do it all via one product line, however. UEMSI/HTV is also North America’s largest distributor of sewer cleaning hose, while also supplying the industry with lateral, leader and Tyger-Tail® hose, with leader and Tyger-Tail hoses made in-house at our Menomonee Falls headquarters. UEMSI/HTV has also been able to add an impressive set of inventory to its product off ering, ranging from sewer cleaning parts to vacuum and sewer cleaning truck maintenance and replacement parts.

A few of the characters have changed through the years, as has the name of the company, but for the me being and beyond, UEMSI/HTV can be trusted with the same quality product off ering that you’ve come to expect for nearly three decades, supported by their knowledgeable workforce that are passionate about the products that come out of their shipping bay.

The round-bodied Wasp is a direct replacement for the Patriot 1® motor, and uses all of the same skids and accessories, including the exact tail nozzle thruster design. The Wasp heavy-duty replacement motor, as well as the Wasp motor with thruster nozzle are both manufactured to the exact specifi ca ons of the Patriot 1® root cu er motor.

The Wasp’s output sha also has a special coa ng to discourage corrosion build up. The Wasp is designed for 35 – 80 GPM cleaning machines and is available with ¾” and 1” FPT tail nozzle thrusters.

“D” Style Rear Door GasketUEMSI/HTV’s “D” gasket is manufactured to exac ng specifi ca ons to fi t Vactor® type combo trucks. Available in 14 lengths and engineered to be just a bit so er than the original OEM door gasket. The UEMSI/HTV Quick Clamps are used to secure Vactor® and Vac-Con® fl ange-style tubes, have been designed with a trimline handle in both ‘U’ and ‘V’ style clamps.

This feature enables the handle to hug the body of the clamp when it is drawn over center to ghten the clamp over the vacuum tube fl anges.

The design greatly decreases the chances of the handle ge ng caught on clothing, equipment and or even manhole lids or stairs versus a standard style clamp handle, which s cks out from the clamp’s outer profi le.The result is a safer and more effi cient clamp for use in the fi eld.

The UEMSI/HTV range of Dye Tablets and Powder makes tracing water fl ow into and out of storm and sanitary sewers an ease. Available in either green or red tablets or powder.

The tablets are best used in laterals or where water fl ow is slow. Four to fi ve tablets will dye 440 gallons of water. 200 tablets are equal to 1 lb.

Dye powder is used in larger-sized pipe and also when water monitoring is greater than 200’ in length. One pound of dye powder will die 120,000 gallons of water. Powder is off ered in one and fi ve-pound containers.

A UEMSI/HTV Safety Manhole Roller Cover is designed to add a level of safety as an operator works from an open manhole and minimizes accidentally stepping into the manhole. This part is made of steel and painted with a highly visible safety yellow powder coated fi nish.

The 5” polyethylene roller is extremely durable and it provides a great surface to protect the outer jacket of sewer cleaning hose and video inspec on cable. The manhole roller cover fi ts a 20”-26” manhole opening. NOTE: An aluminum roller can be subs tuted on request.

UEMSI/HTV’s Tyger-Tail® hoses are used to protect sewer cleaning hose to guide hose through rough manholes and pipe edges of the transi on into the pipe. Tyger-Tail hoses are off ered standard in 2”x36” and 3”x36” lengths and include a 24’ poly rope with a looped end for easy grip.

This rope is a ached to the Tyger-Tail hose collar to made installa on and removal from manholes easier. Stays fl exible in sub-zero temperatures. Tyger-Tail hose is available in 2” and 3” in lengths up to 50 feet NOTE: special Tyger-Tail lengths are available on request.

Piranha® Hose Products Hand Swage MachineThis hand swage machine, manufactured by Piranha® Hose Products, is the oldest concept and most basic type of tool used to a ach a new end or mender onto a sewer cleaning hose. The Piranha® Hose Products Hand Swage Machine was designed for swaging up to 1 1/4” hose fi ngs onto Piranha sewer hose.

Due to its basic non-hydraulic design, two people may be required for some hose repairs in order to operate and contain the machine.

The M3 Mending Machine Swage Mount pla orm was designed to make swaging hose in the fi eld easier.

The M3 pla orm slides into a vehicle Class 3 trailer hitch receiver. The user can then a ach any of the three Piranha swaging machines using the pre-drilled holes on the M3’s pla orm (moun ng hardware included), which allows for a solid, stable work area to perform the swaging of a new fi ng on a sewer cleaning hose.

The Swage-Hand unit requires bol ng one die plate to the P3 pla orm while allowing the other die plate to glide back and forth. The M3 was developed to save me and energy while making fi eld repairs. Zinc-plated fi nish.

The PHP50 is truly a mini-me to the innova ve market leading PHP110. U lizing a short profi le hydraulic jack and proven 2 rod technology, the PHP50 makes pu ng replacement male and female ends on your lateral hose a breeze. Whether used in the fi eld bench mounted, or mounted to an all-new UEMSI/HTV M3, the PHP50 won’t leave you in the dark when repairing lateral hose is needed most.

The bo om sliding die holder features magnets to hold in your chosen pusher plate while the top die holder is proven “C” technology to fi rmly hold your size needed die set. The top holder uses the same hex-bolt as the rest of the Piranha® mending machine line.

Like the rest of the Piranha® mending machine line, the PHP50 is fully fi eld serviceable with replacement parts available.

The PHP50 introduces a new petcock design that is simple to open and close with a fl at blade screwdriver. No need to worry about not having that special petcock key anymore.

While the pushers are unique to the PHP50, the die sets are the same Piranha die sets that you are used to and may already have in your shop.

Piranha® Hose Products PHP110 Swage Machine

UEMSI/HTV is pleased to off er Piranha® Hose Products’ all-new PHP110 Swage Machine. Piranha®, a leader in providing high pressure sewer hose, has developed the PHP110 machine to repair 1/8” through 1 ¼” hose using Piranha manufactured dies and pusher plates.

The PHP110 does not use a conven onal, fabricated and welded frame. Instead, the heart for the PHP110 machine is a 12-ton replaceable hydraulic jack, which is mounted to a 1” thick steel pla orm base. Two 7/8” diameter truss rods extend from the base and serve as the spine of the PHP110, each off ering 69,000 lbs. tensile strength to the machine’s movable components.

The PHP110 was designed to be fully fi eld serviceable, with each component being off ered as a replacement part; keeping the user’s investment opera ng for many years, with down me at a minimum.

The PHP110 pla orm base has predrilled moun ng holes so the versa le PHP110 can be mounted via ½” bolts to the top of a work bench, the deck of a sewer cleaning machine, or to the all-new UEMSI/HTV M3 mount.

If the user prefers to keep the machine mobile between jobs or vehicles, the PHP110 pla orm base is predrilled and tapped to a ach the standard-supplied wheel kit, off ering an 8” wide stance for stability while pushing or pulling the machine around a shop or out in the fi eld.

The PHP110 also off ers a kickstand stabilizer tube. This tube helps keep the machine stable and upright while jacking the pump during use.

The PHP110 swage machine comes standard with:

UEMSI/HTV assembles all of our leader hoses u lizing SLH (Smooth Leader Hose) leader hose that is supplied to UEMSI/HTV by Parfl ex®, a division of Parker Hose Products®.

Our leader hose is a rubber jacketed hose with an internal steel braided reinforcement layer to withstand the maximum wear area behind the nozzle and nozzle skid assembly. The fl exibility of the hose helps ease the nozzle and skid assembly in-and-out of the manhole.

This hose is constructed to withstand the harsh environment caused from sewer je ng and cleaning. Abrasives such as gravel and sand that are tossed back from the nozzle jet stream can reduce the life of your sewer cleaning hose. SLH leader hose is available in a minimum length of 30” and lengths up to 50’. Custom lengths are also available.

SLH leader hose has a smooth synthe c rubber cover that is slippery enough to enable the sewer cleaning hose to glide up the pipe behind the nozzle assembly. This jacket feature is not characteris c of generic hydraulic hose with a cloth wrapped outer cover, which does not slide through pipe as easily.

UEMSI/HTV preaches proper prac ces for use, care and repair of high-pressure sewer cleaning hose.

Working with high pressure water and its components (nozzles, leader hose, cleaning hose, water pumps, skids and a achments) can produce the fi nest results in clearing a plugged lateral or sewer pipe, but cau on must be used when working with such high pres-sures. When you think about the earlier prac ce of using spinning steel rods and cables or even pulling buckets through the pipe with winches, high-pressure water is a convenient way to accomplish this job.

People o en overlook the condi on of the sewer cleaning hose prior to each use, where the operator should be performing a constant inspec on of the hose before and during each use. As an example, if an operator sees a tear in the outer jacket or exposed reinforcing braid, the hose should be repaired or replaced prior to the next use.

PROWLER Wheeled Transporter™

The Prowler™, by UEMSI/HTV®, is an extremely durable six-wheel drive transporter. It is designed for use in 8” relined through 48” pipe with heavy debris and sand. Standard with the Prowler, are three sizes of wheels and tires for maximum trac on, and a li to center the camera in large pipe. The Prowler has a two-speed transmission, which has amazing pulling strength. It can actually double the torque of the unit with the balloon tires installed. With the Prowler ’s sealed internal all-wheel drive system, maintenance is very low.

The Prowler has six 4.375” diameter res for use in 8” relined - 8" pipe, six

5.0” diameter res for use in 10” - 15” pipe and four 10.5” diameter balloon res for use in 18” - 48” pipe. With the

four balloon res installed, the Prowler can still utilize two smaller center drive wheels to help the transporter maneuver over large obstacles.

Standard on the Prowler, is the industry’s first quick change wheel system, the Roto-Lok™. It is mainly used for 18” - 48” pipe to quickly and easily set up the Prowler for diff erent pipe sizes. Instead of removing and installing numerous bolts, which is very me consuming, the Roto-Lok system allows the user to lock the wheel and spacer onto the hub by twisting the wheel in a clockwise direc on. It is then secured with only one setscrew.

POWER WINCHThe Power Winch by UEMSI/HTV is proudly made in the U.S.A. This workhorse has had mul ple func ons over the last 29 years, but is now primarily used in the pipe lining industry for pulling lining equipment through the pipe.

With its heavy-duty ½ HP Ridgid® motor, the Power Winch pulls the lining equipment through the pipe with ease.

The Power Winch is constructed of lightweight but heavy-duty machined cast aluminum, and has wheels for easy mobility. It also has an automa c level wind to wind up the cable evenly.

Available cable op ons range from 1/8” to 3/16”, and galvanized or stainless steel, in 1,000’.

Standard on the reel, is a heavy-duty footage head assembly that measures the video cable as it comes off the reel, which then digitally transfers the footage to your overlay device.

While the reel comes standard with 1,000’ of 3/8” diameter nylon-jacketed video cable, it has the capacity to hold 1,500’ of cable.

If you want a new pipeline televising truck but are on a budget, then the UEMSI/HTV® Kit System™ is for you. UEMSI/HTV will supply the major electrical and mechanical components, while you provide the vehicle, cabinetry and labor. YOUR SAVINGS WILL BE SIGNIFICANT.

The Kit System was designed with your specifi c needs in mind. The standard package consists of a power control unit, mainline reel with 1,000' of cable and controller, zoom pan & lt camera, Trax Jr. tractor and much more. This package can also be customized with more or less equipment to fi t your own applica on. Available op ons include the Prowler™ wheeled transporter for televising large pipe, and longer lengths of video cable.

TRACTOR CLEATS AND TRACK ASSEMBLIES

UEMSI/HTV® has the most effi cient tractor cleats on the market today! They are designed with so er, more durable rubber for be er gripping power in all pipe, including PVC, vitrifi ed clay and concrete. The contour along with the grooves, allow the cleats to actually mold themselves to the sidewall of the pipe for be er trac on. Not only are these cleats designed to work with UEMSI/HTV tractors, but also Cues®, Aries® and any other brand that uses #35 chain with double 1/8” rivet holes. So, if you need dependable, reliable cleats that will stand up to your demands, order them from UEMSI/HTV now.

UEMSI/HTV also supplies en re track assemblies, not only for our own tractors, but also for Cues®, Aries® and others that use #35 chain. We use nickel-plated steel chain for extra strength and longevity, as steel chain lasts two mes longer than stainless steel chain, and the nickel-pla ng prevents rust. The cleats are a ached with 1/8” corrosion-resistant steel rivets for high strength.
