To provide our customers with added value, A/S Gunnar Haagensen now offers full NORSOK M-710 Rev. 2 certified HNBR rubber solutions NORSOK M-710 standard for elastomeric materials The NORSOK standards are developed by the Norwegian Petro- leum Industry to ensure adequate safety and cost effectiveness for developments within the petroleum industry. The NORSOK M-710 standard specifies the requirements for elastomeric seal- ing materials to be used in critical applications within the Oil & Gas sector. These requirements state the necessary documenta- tion for material properties in order to achieve full compound certification, and are listed in the M-710 table 2 - “Required documentation of elastomeric material properties”. In addition to overall physical properties, the M-710 provides the essential acceptable criteria for both rapid gas decompres- sion (RGD) as well as sour gas ageing (H 2 S). These particular conditions offer an insight into long time behavior and overall life expectancy for the elastomers in question. To provide our customers with added value, A/S Gunnar Haa- gensen now offers full NORSOK M-710 Rev. 2 certified HNBR rubber solutions. Material testing has been performed and ap- proved by UK independent research laboratory MERL, Ltd., (Materials Engineering Research Laboratory). Highly Saturated Nitrile (HNBR) The NORSOK M-710 certified HNBR compound offered by A/S Gunnar Haagensen is a high performance elastomer for use in critical applications. Standard under developmentThe NORSOK M-710 standard is under continued development. As such the current Rev. 2 from October 2001 will be replaced by a Rev. 3 in the near future. New requirements for materi-al properties and test conditions can therefore be introduced. Contact us in case of questions regarding NORSOK M-710 ap-proved gaskets and sealing solutions.
