Pioneers In the Industry

Based upon your feed water analysis, custom designed and engineered water treatment systems can be built to meet the needs of your local water conditions to deliver the quality of water required. Norland’s Treatment Systems utilize the latest ion exchange technology, advanced filtration and carbon filtration to remove hardness, odors and bad taste from the water.

Norland engineers precisely match the right components of the TT Series of pretreatment equipment to provide a continuous flow of pre-treated water for treatment by ultra filtration, distillation or reverse osmosis. You can rely on Norland to custom design systems ranging in size from 10 gallons (37.85 liters) to 100 gallons (378.50 liter) per minute and larger.

Distillation

Norland has designed and manufactures highly energy efficient water distillation systems that utilize Vapor Compression and Multiple-Effect technologies. The systems utilize a minimum of moving parts for a longer, durable trouble-free life.

Vapor Compression Distillers

Norland’s vapor compression (VC) distillation systems deliver large volumes of high-quality distilled water at the lowest possible cost per gallon and very low daily maintenance requirements. Our VC systems produce 800 gallons (3,040 L) per day, 1,500 gallons (5,700 L) per day (VC1500), 3,000 gallons (11,400 L) per day (VC3000), or 6,000 gallons (22,800 L) per day (VC6000).

Multiple Effect systems

The Norland 500 multiple effect (ME) utilizes six effects or boiling chambers to slash the cost per gallon of distilled water to one-sixth the cost of single-effect units. Other sizes of ME systems are available when ordered in quantity.

Reverse Osmosis

An ultra filtration process, reverse osmosis uses a semi-permeable membrane under high pressure to remove impurities in water. Combining industry-leading design, high-quality components and worldclass engineering, Norland reverse osmosis systems meet your needs for high-quality, high-volume water treatment with low maintenance and operating costs and optimum energy savings.

Ozone Treatment

Ozone is a powerful oxidizer and potent germicide that disinfects better than other disinfectants like chlorine without the undesirable side effects such as taste and odor. Reliable, cost efficient and easy to maintain, Norland’s ozone treatment systems are sized to produce enough ozone for virtually any bottled water plant.

Water Treatment

Founded in 1993, Norland International’s products have changed the face of the bottled water industry. In fact, Norland was a pioneer in the industry by designing, supplying and commissioning complete bottled water plants from treatment and storage, through the filling and capping process.

The benchmark for this success is created from the quality Norland puts into every piece of bottled water equipment that it manufactures.

Plus, Norland’s experienced, skilled craftsmen take personal pride in building products made to perform and last.

Designed to exacting specifications, Norland’s equipment sets the standard in the water bottling industry for innovation, efficiency, reliability and durability.

In fact, every piece of equipment is rigorously tested in Norland’s testing facility to assure it functions as designed, prior to shipping.

Simply put, with Norland International there are no compromises.

So whether you’re an entrepreneur interested in a startup business, or you need to expand the capabilities of your current bottled water plant, Norland has worldclass equipment options to help you succeed.

Norland can supply your plant with a wide variety of sizes of storage tanks for holding treated water prior to bottling. Tanks are available in a variety of materials including polyethylene and stainless steel and can be custom fit with upper and lower float controls, air filters, outgas ozone carbon filters and tank adapters to meet your specific needs.

Small Bottle Production

Unscrambler The LibertyTM 150 Unscrambler (Optional) is the perfect machine to meet the demands of today’s high-speed production lines. Adjustable to accommodate different sizes of bottles, the Liberty TM 150 sorts and aligns up to 150 bottles per minute for precise and

consistent delivery with no slow down on your production line.

Following is a list of the components in the SpectraPakTM system:

Conveyors Norland offers conveyors in a variety of widths and lengths to meet virtually any bottle transporting need.

Rinser The Norland automatic bottle rinser is designed to internally rinse small bottles ranging in size from 12 ounces (350 ml) up to 1 gallon (3.8 liter) with speeds from 50 bpm to 85 bpm. Transported to the rinser on a conveyer, bottles are inverted to receive a high pressure internal rinse and drain quickly. Stainless steel nozzles direct air or water (your choice) inside the bottles for a speedy and effective rinse operation.

Filler Using a series of valves, the Norland Filler delivers fast, accurate and consistent filling of each bottle. Bottles are secured for filling with a pneumatically operated clamp ensuring that the bottles are positioned correctly under each filling head and preventing under or over fill.

Labeler/Capper Norland’s innovative labeling and capping system processes a variety of sizes and shapes of bottles and a variety of neck finishes. The large capacity cap hopper—up to 5,000 caps--is designed for easy loading. Pressure sensitive labels offer excellent graphic properties and consistent label application accuracy.

Cap Tightener Designed for consistent, reliable operation Norland’s cap tightener can handle various kinds of caps from 28 mm to 48 mm.

CasePakTM (Optional) For the bottler who chooses to package bottles, the Norland CasePakTM System is engineered to automatically align preset configurations of 6, 12, and 24 bottles and place them onto trays or into cartons. The straightforward design of the CasePakTM System allows easy setup, adjustment and maintenance.

ShrinkPakTM (Optional) Fully automatic, the Norland ShrinkPakTM system applies plastic wrap to packages of bottles and then conveys them through a heat tunnel where a controlled heat process securely shrinks the plastic. ShrinkPakTM dramatically reduces costs—saving up to 70% of the cost of corrugated material.
