Please pray for Christi Trethewey, who had surgery at UofM Hospital on Tuesday, October 14, to place a stimulator but on Wednesday they had to remove it. She has no use of her arms or legs and cannot tolerate touch on much of her skin Christi is currently in the neurology ICU and continues to be in a great deal of pain. Please pray for clear signs of improvement and direction for the doctors and for travel mercies for Mike and Lori. Judyth Thomas (102 E. 15th St. Holland 49423) continues to struggle with limited mobility caused by her fall in August. Her left hip is still healing from the fracture. Pray for healing and uplifting of spirit. She can also use microwavable meals. This week Brian Renes (Computer/ Bible Translation) will be in Dallas, Texas for Software/ Translation meetings and Saturday he will fly to MALI. Due to the Ebola Epidemic this past year, Brian was unable to help Bible translators from various African countries. Your prayers for his health and safety and for that of the Bible translators is most needed and appreciated! Ron and Barb Wayner (Alaska) e-mailed from Mozambique: “Last week we were with the team that focused on ears of the children of the school. They tested for infection and hearing loss. Mercy Air has 3 outreach trips in the Kodiak this month. This week a team comes from England…. Ron is working with the heavy equipment… [Barb] is getting involved in the craft shop with the Moz ladies… learning a trade.…to support themselves and the literacy program. Nursery for infants and toddlers younger than 3 years is located across from the office. There is a room for nursing mothers in the nursery.

Kingdom Kids (ages 3 - kindergarten) meet in the CAMP room next to the lounge. Children begin worship with their parents in the sanctuary and go together to Kingdom Kids, usually during the offering.

Reformation Day Event “Where there’s a will there’s a way: how a will from 1508 gives us a way into the lives of ordinary people on the eve of the Reformation” is the title of a presentation in observance of Reformation day. The event will be Saturday, October 31 at 7:00 pm at 14th Street Christian Reformed Church (corner of Central Ave., Holland). Dr. Suzanne McDonald of Western Theological Seminary will give the illustrated lecture. There will be an offering for expenses to cover the cider and donut holes.
