Harvey Geelong Grammar School CORIO 3214 Dear Jonathan, I don't know if my letter of 21st April will reached you or not. I hope t.hat it hasn't gone astray at any rate. Meantime, I do hope that you have been having a very good time of it. I think that I do need to write further, given that I am on the point of heading off for study Leave myself and that you will resume with us before I return. I think it is important to stress that the life and work of a residential campus is totally dependent upon the full involvement of staff, that the normal status of staff at Corio is resident, and that resident involvement consists of a set of duties and of benefits. In cases where a member of staff wishes to live off the campus and that wish is granted, it is ordinarily not the case that there is any change to resident status or involvement. In such cases (as opposed to cases where members of staff can not live on the campus because of shortage of accommodation, for instance) no living-out allowances should be paid. I believe it to.be essential that immediate attention is given to arranging an appropriate set of resident responsibilities for you from the beginning of Term 3. I shall be discussing this a bit with Alby, and shall be sending him a copy of this letter. Dear Jonathan,

I don't know if my letter of 21st April will h~ve reached you or not.

Yours sincerely,

ewis) STER
