1 Non-Resident Adjuster License (NRAL) and Non-Resident Adjuster License With No Designated Home State (NRALNHS) To create a non-resident adjuster license: 1. Click Adjuster Licensing by choosing ‘+’ in the header menu. 2. Fill out the following fields: Option Description Application Type Choose Initial, if applicant is initially creating a non-resident adjuster license. Choose Add Line Of Authority, if applicant is adding line of authority to existing resident license. Last Name Enter your last name. SSN Enter your social security number. License Type Choose NRAL to create a non-resident adjuster license. Choose NRALNHS to create a non-resident adjuster license no home state. Non-Resident Adjuster License (NRAL) and Non-Resident Adjuster License With No Designated Home State (NRALNHS)

To create a non-resident adjuster license:

1. Click Adjuster Licensing by choosing ‘+’ in the header menu. 2. Fill out the following fields:

Option Description

Application Type

Choose Initial, if applicant is initially creating a non-resident adjuster license. Choose Add Line Of Authority, if applicant is adding line of authority to existing resident license.

Last Name Enter your last name.

SSN Enter your social security number.

License Type Choose NRAL to create a non-resident adjuster license. Choose NRALNHS to create a non-resident adjuster license no home state.

Resident State Choose your resident state from the dropdown menu.

License Class Code

Enter License Class Code of the resident license. (only for NRAL application)

License Id Enter License Id of the resident license. (only for NRAL application)

These fields are required, if you skip one of them, when submitting the form, an error message will be displayed.

The ACL – Create Case – Update Form script is run when you click on NRAL or NRALNHS radio button (License Type), and when you create a new Adjuster Licensing case.

a. If you click NRAL, this script displays License Class Code, Lines Of Authority, Resident state fields and Non-Resident Licenses custom table.

b. If you click NRALNHS, it displays only Resident state field and Non-Resident Licenses custom table.

In the Non Resident Licenses table, select states, enter licenses and LOA codes. You can add multiple states for one NRAL application.

3. For each state you need to:

a. Click the Add button in the Non Resident Licenses table. b. Select State from the dropdown menu. c. Enter License Class Code. d. Enter Loa Code. e. Click Save.

By clicking Save, the ACL – Create License – Save Table Controller script is run. This script saves values of states, license classes and LOA codes for that NRAL license in nral_eligibility_map field.

4. Click the Submit button to continue creating your Non-Resident Adjuster License. By clicking the Submit button, the ACL – Create Case – After Creation script is run and Eligibility API call is made. This API call checks whether the applicant is eligible to apply for that type of license. a. If the parameters for Eligibility are wrongly entered, an error message will be

displayed. b. If the applicant is not eligible to apply for that license class and LOA code, the

application goes to the Tech License Review status. In the left panel on the License Tech Review page Eligibility Response Error will be displayed. You can see here all license classes and LOA codes you are eligible to apply for.

By clicking the Review button, entire eligibility response will be displayed. In the Eligibility Response field, you will be able to see all eligible license classes and LOA codes with additional applicant data. You can correct the LOA code and update the application by clicking the Submit button. If the eligibility response returns Eligible status, application will be transferred to the Eligibility Call status. Reload the web page to continue to the Uniform Application step.

c. If the applicant is eligible to apply for that type of license, the Uniform Application page will be displayed, and you will be able to continue creating your NRAL application.

8. Click the Submit button to continue creating you Resident License.

By clicking the Submit button, ACL - Submit Background Questions Form script is being invoked.

Next, the State Specific Questions page will be displayed, and you will be able to continue creating your NRAL application.

Next, Attestation page will be displayed, with defined terms and conditions for creating a NRAL application.

11. Click the Submit button.

12. In this step, parent case will be set to status CLOSED and for each Non-Resident license

a child case will be created. Click on the Related child case in Related Cases table.

Once the child cases are created, script ACL- Create License Async script is invoked, which creates the NRAL NIPR xml with submitted data, and submits xml to NIPR.

The status of related child cases will be in CREATING LICENSE status until NIPR response is obtained. Depending on the NIPR response, application is transferred into one of the following statuses:

- License Tech Review - Pending - Failed - Declined - Passed

Creating license is in the Pending status if no response from NIPR could be obtained at the time. After 24 hours new request to NIPR is made to retry submitting application. Job is scheduled to repeat NIPR call every 24 hours, until we get response.

When creating license is in the Fail status, NIPR xml and NIPR response are displayed on the Child Case page.

When creating license is in the Declined status, NIPR xml and NIPR response are displayed on the Child Case page.

When license is successfully created, NIPR xml and NIPR response are displayed on the Child Case page.

You can access other child cases by clicking the child case in the Related Cases table.

Finally, when the application submission is finished, and the NIPR response is obtained, child case status is transferred to Closed.
