COURSE OVERVIEW:Full day presentation for physicians, nurses and pre-hospital providers focusing on various types of pediatric trauma and issues related to the pediatric trauma patient.
COURSE OBJECTIVES: At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Identify management and interventions for children with various injuries.
• Describe injury prevention and mitigation activities that can be incorporated into their practice.
TARGET AUDIENCE:These topics should be of interest to physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and other health care professionals caring for pediatric trauma patients. Continuing education credits should be applicable for pediatric-specific trauma education hours required by state trauma regulations.
