Relay for Life Each of us has our own reasons why we Relay. What-ever the reason we do make a difference.

We are making a difference by teaming up to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life. Saving lives from cancer starts one team, one participant, and one dollar at a time. Our team is doing our part to make sure that cancer never steals another year of anyone’s life. Please join our team or make a donation. The impact we can make together is much greater than what any of us could do alone! This year our team is an on-line team. Our main fund-raising is done on-line. Those that sell luminaries or collect aluminum cans or physically gather donations can still turn their dollars in. At the event we do not have a designated campsite but we can still take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

Follow the step-by-step directions below to set up your Relay For Life Web page and get going.

Step 1. Find Your Event

Go to: relayforlife.org > My Event > ‘Find an Event’ to locate your event, then click ‘Sign Up’.

Step 2. Join a Team

Click “Join a Team” and enter your team name and fundraising goal, or click “Search for a team” and click on Saints Alive. This will take you to our Saints Alive Page.

Step 3. Click on Donate to our team or Join our team

Step 4. Continue Registration

Log in if you participated in Relay last year, or designate yourself as a new user. Enter your username and password from last year before beginning the registration process to ensure that all of your information from last year will carry over to this year’s Web site.

Step 5. Complete Registration

Complete the registration process by following the instructions on each page.

Step 6. Personalize Your Web Page

Click ‘My Personal Page’ at the top of the page.

• Click in the page title box to personalize your title.

• Under Body Text, type in why you are participating.

Treasurer’s Report

A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Com-

mandments with her five and six year olds. After explain-

ing the commandment to 'Honor thy father and thy

mother,' she asked, 'Is there a commandment that teaches

us how to treat our brothers and sisters?' Without missing

a beat, one little boy answered, 'Thou shall not kill..'

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD

A Sunday School teacher decided to have her young class

memorize one of the most quoted passages in the Bible -

Psalm 23. She gave the youngsters a month to learn the

chapter. Little Rick was excited about the task - but he just

couldn't remember the Psalm. After much practice, he

could barely get past the first line. On the day that the kids

were scheduled to recite Psalm 23 in front of the congre-

gation, Ricky was so nervous. When it was his turn, he

stepped up to the microphone and said proudly, "The Lord

is my Shepherd, and that's all I need to know."

From Rev. Gretchen

This Day

God gave you this day to do just as you would,

You can throw it away – or do some good.

You can make someone happy, or make someone sad.

What have you done with the day that you had?

God gave it to you to do just as you would,

You could do what is wicked, or do what is good.

You can hand out a smile, or just give’em a frown.

You can lift someone up, or push someone down.

You can lighten some load, or some progress impede,

You can look for a rose, or just gather some weed.

What did you do with your beautiful day?

God gave it to you, did you throw it away?

DID NOAH FISH?

A Sunday school teacher asked, "Johnny, do you think

Noah did a lot of fishing when he was on the Ark ?"

"No," replied Johnny. "How could he, with just two worms."
