62 of women are in staff job positions that provide service and assistance but donrsquot directly generate revenue These roles very rarely lead to major jobs in senior management In contrast 65 of men on executive committees hold line jobs associated with revenue creation This helps explain why the number of women CEOs in Fortune 500 companies appears stuck around 3 Encouraging diversity in the workplace and on boards is increasingly seen as a way of making companies stronger in the modern business environment One key area of diversity is encouraging women to enter and excel in traditionally male-dominated fields Sales is one such arena The Women in Sales Awards has been created to bring a greater awareness of the need for gender diversity in sales and in executive leadership teams as well as help grow the pipeline of female sales talent and to pave the way for more women to get on boards The Awards has been designed to encourage the winners to progress to even greater achievements As part of the prizes to be won senior leaders both men and women relevant to each award category will be invited to mentor the winners for a year

WHY AN INTERVIEW WITH THE JUDGESA face-to-face interview allows the judges to further assess each finalistrsquos sales skills strategies and process etc The interview also complements their review of the submitted nomination formsIf you would like to review your nomination form please email eventswisawardscom and request for a copy of your entry
THE JUDGING DAYThe judges will be organized into groups each group will be made up of 3 judges and will interview a number of finalists within their assigned
categories Nomination and any supporting documents will be reviewed before the judges meet the finalists
FINALISTS TIME WITH THE JUDGESThis is an opportunity for finalists to engage the judges by telling them the story of their success Each judge will award points across the same criteria After the interview all finalists will answer one final question ldquowhy should you win the award in your categoryrdquoAll the judges will score each finalist on the final question Each finalistrsquos overall score will be the sum of the scores from the interview plus the scores from the final question The finalist with the highest score in each category becomes the winner in that category

The Judging ProcessTHE JUDGESA group of senior executives from various industries have been carefully selected as an evaluation panel of independent judges Their objective is to review the nominations and interview each of the finalistsYou can read about the judges on the website wwwwisawardscom
WHY AN INTERVIEW WITH THE JUDGESA face-to-face interview allows the judges to further assess each finalistrsquos sales skills strategies and process etc The interview also complements their review of the submitted nomination formsIf you would like to review your nomination form please email eventswisawardscom and request for a copy of your entry
THE JUDGING DAYThe judges will be organized into groups each group will be made up of 3 judges and will interview a number of finalists within their assigned
categories Nomination and any supporting documents will be reviewed before the judges meet the finalists
FINALISTS TIME WITH THE JUDGESThis is an opportunity for finalists to engage the judges by telling them the story of their success Each judge will award points across the same criteria After the interview all finalists will answer one final question ldquowhy should you win the award in your categoryrdquoAll the judges will score each finalist on the final question Each finalistrsquos overall score will be the sum of the scores from the interview plus the scores from the final question The finalist with the highest score in each category becomes the winner in that category
