VOLUME XX, NUMBER XX VOLUME XX, NUMBER XX VOLUME XX, NUMBER XX ANNOUNCEMENT On Wednesday , December 30, 2015, the D.C. Police Union will hold its quarterly General Pursuant to Article 5.5 of the By-Laws, nominations for D.C. Police Union officers will take place at that meeting. The meeting will be held at the 4 th District Community Room, 6001 Georgia Avenue, N.W., and will start at 1300 hours. NOMINATION PROCESS Nominations will be an agenda item for the General Membership Meeting. All twenty Executive Council positions will be open for nominations. Nominations must be moved in person and the nominee must be present or have indicated in writing to the D.C. Police Union that they accept the nomination. (Article 5.5) All written acceptances must be delivered to the D.C. Police Union office no later than 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2015. Please provide two copies, one for the Secretary and one for the Chairman for inclusion in the record. ELIGIBILITY Any member who has been a member in good standing for at least six months is eligible to be nominated for office. (Article 5.4) Candidates for Chairman, Vice- Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Steward shall be elected at-large by all dues paying members. (Article 5.1) Candidates for Chief Shop Steward will be elected by dues paying members of the element or elements they represent. (Article 5.2) Candidates for DECEMBER 14, 2015 Chief Shop Steward must be a member of the element or group of elements they seek to represent.
