The applications should be completed in all manners as guidelines given byMHRD (at Annexure - I). The complete application will be received in AwardsBranch , Room No. 102, Old Patrachar Building, Timarpur, Delhi till31/10/17 between 12 Noon to 4 pm on aU working days.

All teachers are requested to submit" only filled application form with allrelevant documents (as given below) latest by 31/10/2017, 4 P.M.

(a) Certificate regarding single girl child, differently abled children, singleliving parent and the teacher or the spouse is suffering from someserious ailment like cancer.

(b)Undertaking that the teacher has not received any Financial Assistance/Scholarship for his/her ward earlier from MHRDor other sources.

(c) Certificate from institute where the child is studying/studied stalingwhether it is Government or non-Government institution.

(d) Copy 01 Aadhar Card .

Subject:- Calling of applications for grant of financial assistance under theScheme of "Support for Professional Education of Children ofSchool Teachers" for the academic year 2015-16 - regarding

Sir/Madam,

I am directed to say that National Foundation For Teachers'Welfare (NFTW) was set up in 1962 under the Charitable Endowments Act, 1890,to provide Financial assistance to teachers who may be in indigent circumstancesunder various welfare schemes. Applications for Financial assistance under thescheme of "Support for Professional Education of Children of SchoolTeachers" are invited from all SWCs of States/UTsjKVS/NVS for theacademic year 2015-16 with guiaelines approved by the competentauthority as detailed below:-

xx) The scheme is applicable to school teachers only.xxi) Financial assistance will be granted to children of school teachers

pursuing professional/diploma courses in tile fields of engineering,medicine and management. The professional courses for which financialassistance is granted are as follows.m) Engineering degree course of 4 years duration (8 semesters) in the

Electrical and Electronics, Electronics'I.\i." and Telecommunication, computer science. automobile and chemical, }'\ Engineering, architecture, textiles, mining, rubber technology, navalt) architecture, petroleum engineering, pharmacy, printing, chemicalo ~ technology.

-::z-xxii) All the columns of application form should be filled In and signed by the

teacher Tile application should also have the signature and official seal ofthe Head of the Institution where the teacher is employed and theSecretary Treasurer of the State Working Committee.

xxiii) , The actual fee paid should be clearly Indicated In Column 13 of theapplication. Only original cash receipts are to be enclosed.Photocopies of cash receipts, whether attested or not, will not beaccepted. In case, the cash fee receipt(s) is in a regional language, then,in addition to the original cash fee receipts, a translated version InEnglish/Hindi self attested by -the applicant teacher should also besubmitted.

xxiv) A certificate from the college/institute in which the student is studyingshould be attached to the application. The certificate should contain thename of the student, name of father/mother serving in school, date ofadmission in the first year and the year (with number of semesters) studiedin 2015-16. The certificate should bear the signature of the Principal, aspecimen copy of the certificate is enclosed for guidance. In case, thecertificate from the college is in a regional language, then, in addition tothe certificate, a translated version in English/Hindi self attested by theapplicant teacher should be submitted.

xxv) The State Working Committee should take into account the actual fee paidby the applicant on account of tuition/library/laboratory whilerecommending the financial assistance It is noticed that in certain cases,fee paid on admission, examination and other miscellaneous items is alsotaken into account while recommending cases. Fee paid on such itemsshould not be taken into consideration.In certain cases, cash receipts for a consolidated amount are attachedwhich includes mess charges, hostel fees, etc which are not eligible underthe scheme without indicating the actual amount paid towards Tuition fee,Library Fee and Laboratory Fee. The teacher should be asked to furnishthe break-up of such receipts and the amount paid towards tuition, libraryor laboratory charges, i.e. from the college authorities by way of acertificate. The maximum financial assistance payable is Rs.150001- peryear, per case.

xxvi) Under column 18 of the application, the year and financial assistancerecommended should be mentioned. The recommendations have to besigned by the Secretary-Treasurer. In some cases, it is found missinq. Insome applications, it is noticed that official seal of Secretary TreasurerlState Working Committee are not affixed Such applications are liab!e tobe rejected.

xxvii) Financial assistance is granted to teachers of those State WorkingCommittees, who have updated .their annual contribution.

xxviii) Financial assistance is granted for one academic year only. Teachers canclaim assistance in respect of their wards for the academic year 2015-16

xxix) No financial assistance is granted to student Iward who has failed or arealready recipients of a scholarship etc. Further, no assistance is grantedduring the period of internship. While forwarding the applications, theState Working Committee should ensure that applications of only passedstudents are forvvarded to NFTVVfor financial assistance. Those cases inwhich the result is awaited may not be forwarded.

xxx) Not more than one application from a teacher should be accepted.A teacher can claim assistance in respect of one ward only in a given year.

xxxi) Priority should be given to those teachers who have not availed the benefitof the scheme in previous years.

xxxii) No financial assistance is granted to student/ward who is/hasstudyingfstudied abroad for professional education.

xxxiii) The number of applications to be forwarded by each State WorkingCommittee should not exceed more than 400 in a year. In case oflarger number of applications, State Working Committee may evolvesuitable criteria so as to ensure that the specified number ofapplications is not exceeded. Such criteria may include the teachershaving single girl child, differently abled children, single livingparent, student studying/studied in Govt. Institution for professionaleducation, the teacher or the spouse is suffering from some chronicailment.

xxxiv) The State Worl~ing Committees are required to ensure thatapplications submitted by the teachers are complete in all respectsand necessary documents are enclosed with it. Incompleteapplications or applications without having necessary documentswill be rejected. No request for reconsideration of the application willbe entertained by the Foundation.

xxxv) Aadhar number of the applicant/ teacher may be mentioned in theprescribed application form in column 12 (iii) and SWC of the respectiveStates/UTs are requested to disburse the amount through IMPS modeonly to the teacher concerned.

xxxvi) All SWCs are requested to furnish their contact details (including email Ifax etc.) and they are responsible for verification of applications in allrespect, before sending to this foundation.

xxxvii) For any query SWCs are requested to forwards the same through email to-nftwmhrd@gmail.com . for all financial transaction with this foundation tobe made through IMPS mode only to
