tanto addolorato che

disse: 'Sterminerò dalla

terra quest'uomo da me

creato'.

God looked down on the

earth and saw that people

were becoming more and more evil. He was so sad 

that He said, “I will destroy 

man that I have created.”

diversamente dai

suoi contemporanei,era un uomo giusto e

si comportava come

piace a Dio.

But Noah, unlike

other people on

earth, was a good man and God was

 pleased with him.

Un giorno, Dio disse a Noè: 'Io

farò venire una grande

inondazione per distruggere tutti

gli esseri viventi. Costruiscitiun'arca, una grande imbarcazione

in legno robusto e tua famiglia si

salverà.'

Noè eseguì tutto quel che Dio gli

aveva comandato.

One day, God said to Noah, “I am

going to send a great flood to

cover the earth and destroy all that 

I have made. Build an ark for youand your family and you will all be

saved.”  

Noah obeyed and did what God 

commanded.

 Allora Dio disse a Noè: 'Prendi con

te sette coppie di tutti gli animali

non impuri: Di

tutti gli altri prendiinvece una sola

coppia. Devi

anche prendere

sette coppie di

ogni tipo diuccelli.'

Noè eseguì quel

che il Signore gli

aveva comandato.

Poi Noè entrònell'arca con i

figli, con sua

moglie e le mogli

dei suoi figli e il Signore chiuse la

porta dell'arca dietro a Noè.

God then told Noah, “Bring seven

pairs of each clean animal and one

pair of each

unclean animalon board the

ark. Also bring

in seven pairs

of each kind of 

bird.” Noah did as

God said. Then

Noah entered

the ark with his

wife, his sonsand his son’s

wives. Once

they were on

board, God closed the door.

Piovve per quaranta giorni e quaranta notti. Le acque aumentarono e

sollevarono l'arca dal suolo. Acquistarono forza, crebbero ancora e su di

esse l'arca andava alla deriva. Le acque continuarono ad aumentare sulla

terra finché sommersero tutti i monti.

Then it began to rain and it kept raining for forty days and forty nights. The

water rose and lifted the ark off the ground. The water kept rising and the ark 

started to float. The water rose yet more, until even the highest mountains

were covered by the great flood.

Trascorsi quaranta giorni, ha smessodi piovere e le acque cominciaronoad abbassarsi. Per vedere se leacque si erano ritirate

dalla superficie dellaterra, Noè mandò fuoriuna colomba. Essanon trovò alcun luogodove posarsi perchél'acqua ricopriva

ancora tutta la terra.Tornò allora versol'arca.

Noè aspettò ancorauna settimana e

mandò di nuovo lacolomba fuori dell'arca.Verso sera essa tornòda lui: aveva nel becco un ramoscelloverde di ulivo. Noè capì che la

superficie del suolo era asciutta.

 After forty days, the rain stopped

and the water gradually started

going down. Noah sent out a dove

to see if the

water haddried, but the

dove returned

because she

found no place

to land. After a week,

Noah sent out

the dove again.

This time the

dove cameback with an

olive branch in

its mouth.

Noah knew that there was finally

dry land once again.

Then Noah, his wife, his sons and

his son’s wives all went out of the

ark. The animals and birds also

went out from

the ark withtheir families.

God blessed

Noah and his

sons. He told

them, "I am

putting a

rainbow in the

sky as a sign of 

My promise to

never send aflood of water to

cover the whole

earth again."

 Allora Noè uscì dall'arca con i figli, la

moglie e le nuore. Poi uscirono anche

tutte le bestie, tutti i rettili e tutti gli

uccelli

Dio benedisse

Noè e i suoi

figli e disse

loro: ' Ho

messo il mio

arco tra le

nubi. Sarà il

segno

dell'impegno

che ho preso

verso il mondoche non ci sarà

piú diluvio per 

distruggere la terra'.
