VANDERHOOF REGULAR SALE MAY 12TH

Amidst the rain and mud we received about 1400 hd for Friday’s sale and what a

sale it was. First we saw Walter & Susan Steidle (Punchaw) and their great Red

772 lb steers trade at 202.00, 651 lb steers to 226.00 and the big 866 lb steers hit

right on 200.00. Steidle’s heifers weighing 657 lb raced to 199.00,

575 lb heifers up to 211.00 and the 709 lb heifers just right at 201.00.

Guy Bambauer (Vanderhoof) had a pen of 643 lb Hereford heifers br ing

199.00, 528 lb heifers carried on to 227.00, Guy also had 1242 lb butcher cows

trade for 98.50. Walt Cool (Vanderhoof) in with a top notch set of Saler heifers at

557 lb climbed to 251.00. Big Eddy Ranch ( Prince George) saw their 723 lb

steers find their value at 217.00, 643 lb steers soared to 238.00.

Golden Meadows Ranch (For t Fraser ) showcasing 668 lb Red heifers mark-

ing 202.75, 626 lb steers reaching 235.00, also from Golden Meadows, a pen of

1706 lb butcher cows managed 102.50 and their 2425 lb bull brought 127.50.

Alex & Julie Kulchar ( Vanderhoof) with a batch of 676 lb Tan heifers rung

the bell at 203.50. Pooles Arrow Ranch ( Punchaw) treated us to a ring full of

709 lb Simmental heifers who stopped the bid at 191.00, 571 lb heifers hit 210.00

and 676 lb heifers settled at 191.50. The same outfit had 1227 lb young butcher

cows notch 110.00, 1454 lb cows at 100.00 and can you believe a 2420 lb bull

smashing 135.00. Edward Poole had 646 lb Speckled Park steers top 230.00, 572

lb heifers brought 215.00. Raenne Macdougall (Vanderhoof) saw her 713 lb Blk

heifers fetch 196.00, 608 lb heifers on up to 216.00.

Leroy Taylor (Smithers) had 808 lb Red Angus steers at 192.00, 756 lb steers

hit 197.00. Levi Walker( Vanderhoof) brought some 499 lb grass steers that sold

at 261.00. Long Ridge Farm (Vanderhoof) in with 711 lb heifers reaching 190.00,

OK FALLS REGULAR SALE MAY 15TH

Again another exciting sale and strong prices here in OK Falls as another 300

head hit the sale ring. The Clifton Ranch from Keremeous set the bull price with

2615 lb bulls marking 128.50. Brent Mountain Angus saw their 2295 lb Angus

bulls march to 128.00, their young 3 year old heifers, 1205 lb traded to 135.50.

The Sather Ranch had 1162 lb cows top 105.00. Dave & Wanda Casorso had

1260 lb heifferettes hit 128.00, their 1426 lb butcher cows topped 190.50 and the

668 lb heifers reached 199.00. Thomas Ranches 690 lb Blk heifers traded to

196.00. Ken & Barb Marcinko’s 646 lb heifers rolled to 205.00.

Kathryn Kelly’s 615 lb steers topped 240.00. Pierre Jooste of Rock Creek

Ranch saw his 573 lb s/c hit 256.00 and the 600 lb steers reached 248.00, the 510

lb s/c hit 260.00. Carl Sidwell today saw his powerful 713 lb Replacement quality

Blk Angus heifers trade to 192.75. The quality today was 1st class start to finish.

KAMLOOPS REGULAR SALE MAY 16TH

Well the numbers just keep rolling in as another 960 head of cattle hit the sale

ring again this week. Greg Goodanetz built a fire under our butcher bull trade

with 2480 lb bulls marking 131.75. The Albers Creek Ranch set a pace in the

cow trade with 1575 lb butcher cows marking 107.50. Russel & Meghan Clem-

itson had young 1145 lb heifferettes trade to 144.00. Bob & Diana Pascoe

had heavy 1518 lb cows mark 107.75. Sharon Hyam’s 530 lb Red s/c hit 260.00.

Pemberton Valley Ranch’s 728 lb steers hit 212.00, their 805 lb heifers

reached 183.00. The Turner Ranch today set a pace as they saw their 858 lb Bwf

steers top 192.00, their 797 lb steers hit 195.50. A top pen of their 730 lb steers

marked 215.00, their 605 lb Hereford steers marked 243.00 with 764 lb Blk &

Bwf heifers trading to 181.00. The Elkink Ranch showcased a liner load of year-

lings today and did they ever sell! Their pen of 709 lb Angus X steers marked

224.00, their pen of 728 lb heifers raced to 186.00. 15 head of their 631 lb heif-

ers notched 212.00. 20 head of their 1147 lb heiferettes raced to 152.50. Mann

Creek Ranch saw their 826 lb steers sell to 195.50, the 823 lb heifers hit

188.50. Ian & Brenda Jones had 447 lb s/c traded to 270.00. Cow /Calf pair s

were steady. Fred Philps cow/calf pairs from Salmon Arm traded to 2425.00,

they were young and good. The Estate of Don Short saw their young Blk Angus

cows with big good calves at foot trade to 2000.00, their 660 lb heifers saw

196.00. The next sale here is 2 weeks away, which is Tuesday May 30th.

639 lb heifers up to 205.00. Andres Grunthal Equipment (Prince George) saw

their 2120 lb Red bull fetch 130.00. Now we feature something at this sale the

pairs hitting 2475.00. Tan cows (calves at side) brought 2400.00 a pair and the

cial thanks to the crew who kept things moving. Always a pleasure to see a yard

full of the quality cattle Vanderhoof is known for, and of course thanks to the

buyers for creating such a competitive market place. Our last sale of the spring

A flying site for a “ Model Aeronautic Association of Canada” club The High Country Flyers.

Due to a property sale we were displaced from our site on the old “Morrison Ranch” on the way to Logan Lake from Kamloops. We were there for 21 years. Our members are responsible and we can provide references The Model Aeronautic Association od Canada provides “ Liability Insurance” of 7.5 million dollars for the property owner and the same for each of the club members.

Site size needs to be approx. 1000’ long X 300’ wide with an open area to fly over.

We would look after any owner fencing requirements.

Club member ship averages between 20 & 30 locally.

On a typical flying day at the field there are 2-6 flyers.
