Respected Sir, With reference to the above subject, our project for EC proposal was considered in 7th REAC meeting on 22nd June, 2016 & 9th REAC meeting on 22nd August, 2016 for our Varada Bauxite Mine (37.2098 ha.) of M/s. Orient Abrasives Ltd. located in village Mewasa, Taluka Kalyanpur, District Devbhoomi Dwarka, Gujarat and additional documents was sought vide your office letter no. J-11015/192/2010-IA.II(M) dated 17.02.2017 (Ref 1) (Annexure 1).

Our company future depends on timely clearance of EC, which is pending since 2010 onwards. Our project clearances will Generate huge Employment Opportunities/Job Opportunities in the local villages and directly contributing to the Micro Rural Economics. Additional information as sought by the MoEF&CC, vide letter no. J-11015/192/2010-IA.II(M) dated 17.02.2017, our pointwise replies for these queries are detailed as below: Query No. 1: Revised LOI/lease document amalgamating both the leases shall be submitted. Compliance: Our lease amalgamation application is under consideration at State Government level as per Mineral Concession Rule. State Government will grant LOI/Lease after the grant of project Environment Clearance by MoEF&CC. Letter from Government is attached as Annexure 2.

Query No. 2: The species selected for green belt should be revised as per the CPCB guidelines. Also the number of saplings for Greenbelt development are too less for the area in which plantation is to be carried out. The revised plan needs to be submitted. Compliance: a. Company hereby undertakes to plant Fruit bearing saplings at 2500 nos. per hectare. Plant species will be

selected as per CPCB guidelines only. Also as per Conservation Plan, approved by the PCCF, Gujarat Forest Department, plantation activities will be taken up in surrounding villages through involvement of Forest Department & Gram Panchayat. Company has submitted an Undertaking to MoEF&CC, New Delhi vide letter dated 11.07.2016 (Ref. 2). Photocopy is enclosed as Annexure 3.

b. As per the conservation plan, Mangrove Plantation in 7 ha of coastal zone (as directed by the then Director MoEF&CC), in consultation with Forest Department will be taken up. Budget of Rs.20.30 Lakh proposed for Mangrove Plantation, Awareness programme, Environment protective measures, etc. Conservation plan budget is attached as Annexure 4.

c. The backfilled area already fenced and plantation is being carried out. (Photos of planted area are enclosed as Annexure 5). Local plant species, as per CPCB guidelines, will be planted to protect environment as per proposed Plan/Sketch attached as Annexure 6.

Query No. 3: A detailed time bound action plan along with the budgetary provision for issues raised during the Public Hearing shall be submitted. Compliance: The Action plan for the issues raised during public hearing is attached as separate sheet. (Annexure 7) • Company assured to take up CSR activities such as School education, Medical camps, Water supply, Fund for
