In ECLC, we often talk about making “Smart Choices”, which help us to be safe, respectful and responsible. In the “David” stories, by David Shannon, David often forgets to make smart choices…..

We made our own stories about David in which he tries to make smart choices. Although…. like all of us… David still sometimes forgets!!

David is leaving the cat alone. Yes David!

David is patting the cat gently. Yes

David is patting the cat nicely and giving him food. Nice work David

David was feeding the fish. Yes

David!

David is feeding the fish and putting water on the plants. Yes David!

David is playing outside nicely with his friends. Good boy David!

David made a bad choice. He is squishing the tail and he is almost

going to kill the cat!

David is feeding the fish and petting the cat carefully. Good David!

David is watering the flower and feeding the cat food. Yes David!

David is raising his hand so he can go the bathroom.

David was riding a skateboard outside where his toy car was. “I do

a smart choice,” said David.

David is patting the cat gently. That’s a smart choice!

David is playing roller blade.

David is skating outside. Yes David!

David is skateboarding outside – Yes David!
