If training is to be as realistic as possible, sophisticated training facilities are needed which confront wearers ofrespiratory protective equipment with the sort of challenges and levels of stress which they typically face in real-lifeoperational situations. Dräger offers the full range of products from a single provider.

A respiratory protection training gallery generallycomprises a training room, a conditioningroom that can include heat and humidity, anexercise room with training gallery and a target area. All these rooms are monitoredand controlled from a central panel in thecontrol room.

Fit or not?Dräger offers a range of exercise equipment,such as exercise bikes, horizontal and verticaltreadmills, arm ergometers, steppers andimpact apparatus to test physical fitnessbefore personnel enter the training gallery.What’s more, all the exercise equipment is ideally suited to individual endurance training or normal fitness training, with specialprograms and monitoring systems, for example; the Cardio Control System allowsprecise analysis and optimization of training.Because the pulse rate is constantly monitoredonline, excessive strain on the cardiovascularsystem is avoided. Modern software systemsare used to display all the data on a monitor

in the control room, this data can also bestored, printed out and analyzed.

The nerve centreOnly one person is needed in the controlroom to monitor the entire training facilityand control all the different elements andequipment. A clear arrangement of controls

and exercise equipment is a key requirementhere: monitors, for example, are centrallylocated and allow continuous monitoringthrough cameras. All the acoustic devices(communication and noise effect systems),light, smoke and air extraction units are alsooperated from the control room. The DrägerFitnessControl-Software allows all exercisedata to be recorded and saved, meaning thatdata can be precisely analyzed together withparticipants and compared with previoustraining sessions. The self-explanatory Drägervisualization software allows you to controland monitor the entire training session on aPC installed in the central panel in the control room.
