Brief Report INTRODUCTION:

Namami Gange is a flagship program of the Central Government for abetment of pollution in River Ganga by treating the domestic waste in urban areas.

National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) is implementing this program all along the urban areas situated at River Ganga.

Name of Project : NMCG 82 MLD STP Project at Haridwar, under Hybrid Annuity based PPP Mode

Process of STP : SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactor) Process.

Client : National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), New Delhi

Execution Agency : Uttrakhand Pay Jal Nigam

Concessionaire : HNB Engineers (Haridwar) Pvt. Ltd.

LOA : 3284/Le-6/677 dated 03.08.2017

Cost of Project (Capex) : Rs. 140.70 Crs.

Consultant : Shah Technical Consultants (P) Ltd. as ‘Project Engineer’

Description of Work : Construction of 68 MLD STP at Jagjeetpur & 14 MLD STP at Sarai area at Haridwar.

Effective Date : 19.02.2018

Construction Period : 21 Months

Date of Completion : 18.11.2019

O&M Period : 15 Yrs. After COD.

Population of Haridwar : 2011 census - 2,30,681+76,916 (Satellite Towns) = 3,07,597. Projected Population 2018 – 6,36,880.

Projected Population 2033 – 9,30,840. Projected Population 2048 – 12,01,540.

Haridwar town is divided into ‘7’ Zones, out of which zone ‘A’ to ‘E’ are covered under 68 MLD STP- Jagjeetpur and Zone ‘F’ is covered under 14

MLD STP-Sarai, whereas Zone 7th

‘G’ is included in this project being separate industrial area.

Mobilization of site including staff and equipment machinery etc. was completed upto award actual date of start i.e. 19.02.2018. Since then following progress

has been achieved upto March’2018;

1. 68 MLD STP site at Jagjeetpur – After SBC test and Contour survey, work in following units started:

a. CCT : Excavation Started

b. Sludge Thickener (2 Unit.) : Excavation Started

c. SBR (6 Unit.) : Site Layout & Contour Survey under progress

d. Site office setup : Complete.

2. 14 MLD STP at Sarai - After SBC test and Contour survey, work in following units started:

a. CCT : Excavation Started

b. Sludge Thickener : Excavation Started

c. SBR (3 Unit.) : Site Layout & Contour Survey under progress

d. Centrifuge Platform, Sludge Sump & Polydozing Tank : Site Layout under progress

e. Air Blower Room + Admin Building : Site Layout under progress

f. Site office setup : Complete.

From payment and monitoring point of view, the project stages are divided into ‘4’ Milestone;

With respect to 1st milestone, overall 36% worth of works has been completed up till March’2018. The pictorial views of physical progress are shown in
