Nitzan and Tal presents:
• A gang is a group of teens and young adults that hang out together and are involved in violence, illegal, or criminal activity.
• A gang may also wear their "colors", wear certain types of clothing, tattoos, brands, or likewise imprint their gang's name, logo, or other identifying marks on their bodies.
• Gangs generally have a leader or group of leaders who manage the gang's activities.
• Many gang members come from poor and/or broken homes, and they get the support they need from gang life.
• Kids from the dangerous environment of inner cities often feel that they need to belong to a gang as a form of protection. Gang kids usually have a low self-esteem and sense of self-worth.
•Schools should develop a flexible study program directed to gang members.
