February 1969 – the first GT-R edition is released as part of the 3rd generation Skyline line-up. The car features a 2.0 liter engine producing 160hp.

R32 Skyline (1989-1993)The GT-R is reintroduced for the first time since 1973.

In August 1991, the Skyline GT-R becomes the first Japanese car to ever win the Spa Francocious 24 hr Endurance Race.
The R32 GT-R wins 29 consecutive races in Group A 1990-1994.
