1 - The first part of the RECALL Ballot is a YES - The initiative will need a majority (over 50%) to Remove Gov. New-som from office. If a majority check YES, the remainder of the ballot becomes relevant.

2 - The second prompt is a list of 46 candidates - Top 4 Republican Candidates: Larry Elder, Kevin Kiley, Kevin Faulconer, & Doug Ose

I believe there is only one Republican Candidate that can beat Democrat Youtube Creator, Kevin Paffrath to become CA Governor

My Reasons Why Gov. Gavin Newsom must be RECALLED:

The RECALL temporarily stopped Strict Water Use Limits/Rationing (AB 1668) & (SB 606) signed by Gov. Brown 2018. Implementation of 55 gallons of inside water usage per person per day was to begin January 1, 2020, dropping to 50 gallons by 2030; a yet-to-be determined amount for residential outdoor use. The Organic Prepper analyzed that an 8 minute shower uses about 17 gallons of water, a load of laundry 30 gallons, a bathtub of 80 to 100 gallons, and a dishwasher 6 gallons. If your daily water use exceeds the 55 or 50 gallon limit, there will be a fine for each violation day based on drought conditions. The fine could be $1,000 to $10,000 for each day in which the violation occurs. (SB 606 establishes a “governing body” to oversee all water supplier, both private and public). So will the fine be deter-mined by this governing body appointed by the Governor? If unpaid will the fine plus interest be levied against your private property and the potential for your home, farm, business, or investment property taken by the governing body or the State? Search leginfo.legislature.ca.gov

AB 2218 - A bill signed by Gov. Newsom that gives grants to gender clinics to pay for transgender drugs and surger-ies known to sterilize children and adults and causing irreversible damage, per Jonathan Keller, CA Family Coun-cil. Body parts once removed cannot be reversed. Young Children can determine their gender without parental ap-proval.

SB 24 - Planned Parenthood Clinics allowed on CA Universities to provide Chemical Abortion Pills to students. These young ladies are away from home & no Alternative Pregnancy Center on Campus to help them with another option other than an Abortion. President Biden has recently added the sale of CHEMICAL ABORTION PILLS ONLINE. Young children and adults are aborting their own baby not aware of the dangers ahead. When the legislature reconvenes SB 9 & SB 10 will destroy our one home per lot neighborhoods; AB 101 Critical Race Theory; AB 104 Ethnic Studies; SB 357 Could Legalize Prostitution; SB 519 legalize LSD (hallucinogens, psy-chedelic) drugs; SB 2 Police Bill.

AMERICANISM - Susan McCrea (916) 606-4265

Bill of Rights: Freedom of Speech

Part IV, The Rise of Socialism

During the twentieth century, especially after World War I, the Supreme Court continued to be a theater where many dramatic scenes played out in the history of the freedom of speech in the USA. Some of the most colorful and controversial ones were those involving American citi-zens who called themselves socialists or communists. In the case of Whitney vs. California (1927), (Charlotte) Anita Whitney, a well-educated Wesleyan graduate, pacifist, and suffragette from a prominent Oakland family, decided to join the Socialist Party to help right many of the disparities and wrongs in society. While attending its national convention in Chicago, she joined with a radical splinter group that formed the Communist Labor Party of America. Having violated the California Criminal Syndicalism Act of 1919, Anita Whitney was arrested because of her participation in this new organization, accused of having the intent to overthrow the gov-ernment.

Although the Supreme Court affirmed the lower court decision, Judge Brandeis’ lone dissent-ing opinion became most well known. He advocated that free speech is essential to the Found-ing Father’s doctrine and to a democracy in which the right to criticize the government should be protected. California Governor C.C. Young pardoned Anita Whitney unconditionally on June 20, 1927. He said that putting her into a cell was “unthinkable.” She continued her work, fur-thering socialist and communist causes, and even ran for Senate as a socialist twice in the 50’s, gaining at least 99,000 votes in one of her elections.

The Brandeis opinion later prevailed in other Supreme Court decisions, as it ping- ponged and reversed many of its decisions suppressing free speech of individuals with subversive philoso-phies. Brandenburg vs. Ohio (1969) cancelled Whitney vs. California. Brandenburg, a Ku Klux Klan leader, was arrested for an extremist speech. The Court said that unless his speech “incited lawless action” that it was protected under the First Amendment—a contrasting opinion to Anita Whitney’s verdict from the 20’s.

In Keryishian vs. Board of Regents (1967) New York State law prohibited membership in sedi-tious groups for employees. The regents of the State University of New York made their teach-ers take an oath of allegiance stating they were not members of the Communist Party. Several of its faculty members were fired for refusing to take this oath. The Supreme Court by a 5-4 de-cision overruled New York State law and the regents, saying the laws were “too vague.” This dangerous precedent allowed communists to teach in the schools. It also contradicted a former case, Adler vs. Board of Education, in which a NY teacher in the public school system, Irving Adler, had been dismissed for his connection with the Communist Party. The Court affirmed this decision in 1952.

The Supreme Court persists in giving freedoms to socialist, communists, and other extreme groups, many of which have philosophies opposite to the basic tenets of our country. Suppres-sion of free speech could even be part of some of their agendas? Has protecting these individ-uals’ rights gone too far? Is it rights run rampant? Time will answer these questions, as many of our basic rights, embedded in the Constitution and its Bill of Rights, are threatened in the twenty-first century. May we continue to battle for these hard-fought freedoms, bravely won on physical battlefields and again waged in the battleground of the mind—for the heart of Ameri-ca.
