Save the date: AUGUST 10, 7:00 pm – Mass for the Faithful Departed. The Annual Cemetery Mass at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lower Sackville. All are welcome. AUGUST 15, 10:30 am – Rev Mr. Jim O’Connor will be ordained to the Priesthood at St. Mary’s Basilica Cathedral; on the Feast of the Assumption and the Feast of the Archdiocese. Come celebrate! From the beginning of time God has been caring for us, His people. He made us in his image and continues to teach us and mold us into the person he wants us to be. However, he also gave us free will which for some has resulted in a decision not to accept God’s teachings, to not accept the laws handed down to mankind, laws that lead to peace and harmony. So committed is God that he sent his only Son, Jesus Christ to lead us by word

ILLNESS AT HOME OR IN HOSPTIAL: As a faith community caring for one another, it is not always known who is sick and in need of our prayers. Please contact the office with names of anyone who is sick at home or in hospital. Prayer intentions can be written in the book located at the back of th church by anyone at anytime.

"USED CLOTHING & BOOK SALE" - will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26th. Time to start collecting good used clothing items - can be dropped off any Sunday at the Religious Articles Room. See Jan for info.

Year of Mercy

Pope Francis has announced a “Year of Mercy” to begin on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (December 8, 2015) and will end on November 20, 2016.

MARRIAGE: Congratulations to Jennifer Donaldson and John Bonvie who were married July 25th at Saint Brendan’s Church at Stadacona Base. May their union be a sign of God’s love for the world. (Jennifer is the daughter of Delia Murphy and Fred Donaldson of our parish.)
