Biography In 1976 Nina Trofimova became the

champion in rowing on a kayak at the XXI summer Olympic Games in Montreal , and it is her highest sporting achievement. Also Nina Trofimova is the silver prize-winner of the XXII summer Olympic Games of 1980 in Moscow, the participant of the XX summer Olympic Games of 1972 in Munich and the deserved master of sports of the USSR.

Childhood Nina Trofimova

was born on May 4, 1953 in Novgorod. She studied at the oldest Novgorod school No. 2.She was fond of rowing at the age of 12 and entered the rowing school "Spartak".

1980, The 12-fold champion of the USSR, The 2-fold world champion, The 3-fold silver prize-winner of the World Cup In 1968 she became the champion of the USSR

among girls when she was only 15, and thas success she repeated twice.

The way to the international recognition was laid in 1969 when she won the junior European championship.

In a kayak there were two girls: Nina Gopova and Galina Kreft from Leningrad. They won final arrival with result 1 minute and 51,15 seconds. The hour of sport triumph for Novgorod came!
