The 2015 NILGA Annual Conference and Exhibition will be held on Thursday 18th June 2015 in the La Mon Hotel, Castlereagh. The theme for the conference is “Growing Local Democracy & Economies in Partnership: Northern Ireland’s Councils Beyond the First 100 days” aimed at identifying the learning, opportunities and barriers to our new councils as they develop and support communities and the Northern Ireland economy.

Local government and local economies are increasingly at the forefront of economic development in Northern Ireland and with the increased services and functions delivered through the new 11 councils, further significant opportunities are now provided.

Additionally, with Northern Ireland achieving the European Entrepreneurial Region Award, 2015/16 is a crucial year for our Region; one which should put enterprise and regional growth first and foremost on the agenda.
