Nikolai Prange was born April 10, 1993 in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta and worked countless minimum wage jobs to pay for his studio equipment. Niko plays the piano and the bass guitar. He decided he wanted to make music his career at the age of 16 when he met a local producer named Jared Scuillo of Phivestarr Productions at a 4th of July party.

Jared taught Niko the basics of ProTools at his studio in Atlanta. After, a few months of working together Jared got Niko in the studio with Nappy Roots and he landed his first placement on their album “The Pursuit of Nappyness.” After, getting his first check Niko dropped out of high school and spent the next two years locked in his studio, which was set up in his bedroom. He spent that time making beats and perfecting his craft.

Niko sites his influences as David Guetta, DJ Premier and Timbaland to name a few. Niko currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Having just turned 18 he has already worked with noteworthy artists such as Nappy Roots, Busta Rhymes, Bubba Sparxx, Jeremy Greene, Waka Flocka and many others.
