A warm Nikken family welcomeIt is my pleasure to welcome you to our latest edition of the Nikken Family Magazine. It’s been an exciting few months for the Nikken family, including welcoming many new members and celebrating the success of some truly fantastic events.
On the front cover of this issue you’ll see Walty Bleisch, our newest Diamond Consultant. It was a great honour for me to give Walty his Diamond pin in Stuttgart in front of a crowd of 800 cheering people.
I know of Walty’s sacrifice, of his devotion and of his wonderful and loving team. This truly was a team victory. Hear more about his story and be inspired by his top tips later in this edition.
Also, you won’t want to miss the article by our Royal Diamond and world-recognised expert Oddmund Berger, where he shares some of his invaluable insights on network marketing.
With each welcome to our magazine, I can’t help but touch upon our great cause of Humans Being More. It’s inherent in the name of our magazine and it shines on everything we do in this business. Yet, there are some essential truths surrounding this cause that many people misunderstand. People everywhere are instinctively interested in our cause as we offer greater balance and a chance to become our best self.
Naturally, this sounds compelling and attractive. But it’s a well-known truth that happiness cannot be experienced without also becoming acquainted with its opposite. Likewise, success cannot be enjoyed without experiencing the pains of sacrifice and the lessons of a few failures along the way.
As we build to a brighter future and as you work towards your dreams we all must appreciate that, of necessity, the joys we seek will come with a
few knocks along the way. Let’s not be put off by this reality – doing so sets us on the pathway to mediocrity. This is not our destiny. Our destiny is to climb the lofty heights of greatness where few are brave enough to travel!
So, if you are feeling right now like the road is a little tough, remember this simple saying “It will all work out in the end – and if it’s not working out – it’s because it’s not the end!” Keep up the great work and keep your eye on the prize.

Walty BleischWalty describes how his incredible journey with Nikken began and where it took him
Meet our new Diamond Consultant…
When a friend of mine called me in December 2002, he was very excited about something. He asked if I could meet up with him for an hour because he wanted to introduce me to the holistic concept and philosophy of a Japanese company called Nikken. So I invited him to come over to my place, as I was very curious about what he had to say.
His presentation was interesting and everything somehow ‘made sense’ to me. Yet, I also had a healthy scepticism. After he had answered all my questions, however, I began to understand how holistic solutions for different areas of daily life would increase my overall quality of life. Inspired by this, I decided to get a Nikken Wellness Home that would benefit my whole family. And it only took a few weeks and my wife, our three children and I started to see positive changes – big and small – in our physical and mental wellbeing. We felt more energetic and all at once our lives were even more fun. It was incredible! It seemed our lives would suddenly follow an even better direction and that we had developed a new attitude to life based on our core values.
I worked as a property trustee in a managerial capacity at the time and believed my job to be quite satisfying. Yet, at the same time, I really wanted to share Nikken’s life-changing principles with others. This is how the new journey of my life
started. After three years of doing Nikken part-time, I finally managed to make my passion of helping others to get more out of their lives a reality by becoming a full-time Nikken Consultant. During those years I established not only lasting friendships but also created a large international team, which passionately shares with the world the Nikken vision of Humans Being More, the vision of developing your full potential.
In November 2013 I reached Diamond, an achievement I am very proud of. The Diamond rank is the result of great teamwork. And I can honestly say that every single member of my team is a friend. We had started to lay the foundations for this joint success months before. Clear decisions, self-responsibility, motivation, precise planning of the goals of everyone involved, as well as detailed planning of our daily activities were all part of this. And, naturally, the date for our party to celebrate our success had been set! Everyone did their very best and we were always there for each other. I am just unbelievably proud and grateful to work with such a powerful and energetic team.
Looking back, I can say that this was a very fulfilling time in my life. The Diamond rank is a measurable result. Far more important to me is, however, what my family, my friends and I have accomplished during all these Nikken years.
Wow, I can see incredible growth in us, and we are better equipped to help other people to get more out of their lives. That’s what I call fulfillment.
I am very grateful that Nikken enhances my life now. For it is a vision that has helped thousands of people to lead a happier and truly fulfilled life.
Warmest regards, Walty Bleisch

My three tips for success…
1. Make a friend and start to understand what true friendship really means. Together with friends you can master anything!
2. Be honest with yourself and make clear and precise decisions. Say as you do and do as you say.
3. Be the best version of yourself every day and, together with your team/friends, give your very best to achieve your goals.

The importance of creating a complete Wellness Home…
Walty Bleisch discusses the benefits to the body and mind by improving your home environment
As you’ve just read in my journey to Diamond, throughout the years I have built my business inspired by the positive life-changing experiences my family and I felt through our complete Wellness Home.
Today, I have a far more holistic understanding of life and my fundamental values. Realising who I am and what my values are, while living in harmony with nature is fundamental to me now. It’s about being open to new truths, understanding our huge
potential and truly believing in ourselves to get more out of life. This is why I encourage everyone to get to know their values and to promote them within their families and teams.
Through a complete Wellness Home I’ve been able to find new, important strengths for a healthy mind and body, to create a successful and meaningful life.
I now dedicate my time to sharing this understanding with people who are ready to get
more out of life – I want to support them on their way to a quality life in balance.
I hope everyone will be inspired to not only try out the Nikken technologies as a basis for their wellbeing, but also use them as a door opener, both mentally and for establishing real friendships.
Only by allowing ourselves to grow and through the vision of Humans Being More can we truly make a difference to others.

Three good reasons for creating a complete Wellness Home
1. The Wellness Home provides the most holistic, natural and effective solutions when it comes to providing you and your family with quality sleep, water, nutrition, air and light.
2. Through the vital elements of our basic requirements we will be shown the way to find our inner strengths.
3. The result of complete wellness is a better quality of life with energy, personal growth and balance.
Through a complete Wellness Home I’ve been able to find new, important strengths for a healthy mind and body, to create a successful and meaningful life.

Louise White, Head of Marketing Europe, visits the Royal Alliance Event Orlando
An event as magical as Disney World itself
I have just returned from the Royal Alliance event in Orlando, and was so impressed by the whole experience that I held off the final stages of this magazine in order to be able to include this article! I feel so inspired by what I heard and saw, that I wanted to share it with everyone who wasn’t lucky enough to attend.
What can I say, other than, “It was fantastic!” So fantastic that it made me consider giving up my day job to become a Consultant with Nikken.
I arrived at the Florida Hotel in Orlando after a grueling flight completely exhausted and jet lagged. I was also a little apprehensive, as I had no idea what to expect, having only been with the company a few short months this was my first Nikken event of any kind. I was hoping to get a good feel for the Nikken Consultants, what makes them tick, how they conduct their business, and what’s important to them. Well, I saw all of that and much, much more!
12 countries from across the world were represented at this conference, from states all
across the USA through to Denmark, Norway and France. It truly was an international event, and the passion for Nikken in that room was unbelievable! The audience ranged from brand new Consultants right through to Royal Ambassador Consultants who have been with Nikken for more than 30 years.
Throughout the world, there seems to be a certain kind of person who decides to join Nikken. The kind of person who cares about the world we live in and really wants to make a difference. Who cares about other people and feels compelled to help them as much as possible. Who realises that Nikken is more than just a business opportunity with great products, but is actually a ‘way of life’. But mostly, these people live and breath Nikken and everything it stands for, and build their businesses by sharing that with everyone they meet.
I was so impressed with the level of commitment and loyalty to Nikken, both within the audience and from the presenters on stage. I sometimes observed quietly from the sidelines, and saw complete sincerity, everyone was so friendly toward each
other, making others feel welcome if they had come alone. Almost instantly it felt as if everyone knew each other in the room, like one big happy family.
The conference got started with a fantastic session called ‘An Evening with the Diamonds’. Around 40 Diamond and Royal Diamond Consultants sat down at round tables and Consultants spent 20 minutes talking and asking questions, before they moved on and a new group of Consultants came to sit down, and so the evening went on. All the top leaders shared their insights, their wisdom, and their tips for success. It was a high-energy evening that no one wanted to end!
The next day, various leaders conducted ‘hot topic’ workshops, all designed to help Consultants develop their businesses. Everyone seemed to find the workshops extremely useful, with lots of engagement from the audience throughout the whole day. As the evening unfolded, I watched as hundreds of Consultants were asked to come on stage to be recognised for their achievements as they advance through the ranks. The energy in the
8 |
room that evening was electric, with everyone made to feel extremely proud of their achievements!
In my opinion, the pinnacle of the conference was the Saturday, when Diamonds, Royal Diamonds and Royal Ambassadors from around the world took to the stage to tell their stories, such as how they became involved with Nikken (or how Nikken found them, as I heard many say) and how they got to where they are today. This included top US leaders
such as Susan Carver, Dave Johnson, Chris Gullo, Steve Bono, Mike DiMuccio, Bo Tanas, Reid Nelson and Julie Tara to name but a few, and then Morten Andersen, Jean-Marie Gilbert, Jean-Pierre and Regine Desroses and Oddmund Berger stood and beautifully represented Europe with their compelling stories.
The testimonials were concluded with the amazing Dennis Estes and Reid Nelson on stage. Reid moved the audience (many to tears) with his sincere love for Nikken. Everyone was on their feet as the day ended, and ready to party well into the evening!
It was a gathering of the ‘best of the best’ and the audience was completely taken in, as was I. I fully intended to capture as much information as I could to take back to the office and incorporate into our
marketing messaging, but I have to admit that at times I was so engrossed in their stories that I forgot to take notes! There were so many great quotes from the leaders throughout the day, but I must share this one, which came from our CEO Kurt Fulle who was quoted by Jeff Isom. He said, “Wherever
there is a need for wellness, there will always be a Nikken”. How true that is.
I have been thinking long and hard about how to summarise my experience, and I think I can capture it in two words … ‘proud’ and ‘inspired’. Proud because I feel honoured to be a part of this truly amazing Nikken family, and inspired by the incredible speeches and presentations. Throughout my career I’ve seen many network marketers speak, but I can honestly say that none have moved me in quite the same way.
I mentioned at the beginning that I wanted to share my experience for those that weren’t lucky enough to be at this event. What I would say to each and every one of you is don’t miss out!
These events will help you build your business – it’s as simple as that. If you want a life with Nikken, then come along to the Oslo event on 30th and 31st August, many Royal Alliance and top leaders will be there, and you too can hear their stories and be inspired to make a difference. Come along and ‘design your life’.

Network MarketingOddmund Berger describes what it is and what it isn’t – and how to work it!
The purpose of this article is to point you in the direction of a document I wrote last year. This document is to increase your awareness of what Network Marketing and Sales is and what it isn’t – and to give you an overview of how we implement Network Marketing to build a business with Nikken as independent Nikken Consultants. The goal is to increase your understanding and prepare you for success as a Network Marketing professional in Nikken. The document serves as a foundation for the basic skills I teach and that I ask my team to duplicate. You will find that it is no different to what I and other Nikken leaders have always done and always taught, just put together in a way that hopefully will help you understand how to do Network Marketing better - and how to teach it better.
I see this knowledge as a ‘recipe for predictable success’. It is my belief that if you get good at this, teach it to your team – and teach them to teach it to their team. Before you know it you’ll be on your way to a successful Royal Diamond distributorship - as long as you do it constantly, continuously and with focus, dedication and discipline. Always with a sense of urgency, but at the same time being patient and persistent knowing that anything worthwhile takes time.
The document is designed to be used for your own education as well as for those in your downline that are serious about learning this profession and building a business with Nikken. Although, I ask you to please bear in mind that this is a document to circulate with some care and caution.
Please understand that I did not invent this information. I have no intention of re-inventing the wheel when someone has already done a great job of documenting something. It does describe
however, my understanding of Network Marketing and Sales and how I have worked to build a multinational Nikken Royal Diamond business. Because of its success, I was awarded the European Distributor of the Year for 2004/2005, and as an effect have been a member of Nikken’s Millionaires’ Club and President’s Club for many years.
Most of the content is taken from Eric Worre’s new book “Go Pro – 7 steps to becoming a Network Marketing Professional” and from an article by Bob Burg called “Be Proud to be a Sales Person.” I have just shortened it or modified it here and there to fit our situation, as well as added my experiences and comments where I found it appropriate.
The document explains what our daily job is and how we should be doing it. It explains our “DMO – Daily Method of Operation”. If you get really good at this, and believe me, you can, then you will have a great chance of building a successful Nikken business if you just keep doing it.
The document describes that there are three categories of distributors who join Network Marketing – and why you would want to choose the right approach, the professional approach, to succeed. The professional is a person who set out to be an expert at the skills required to build a large and successful Network Marketing organisation.
“Ignorance on fire is better than knowledge on ice” is a popular saying in Network Marketing environments. But why not have both knowledge and passion/enthusiasm?
For example, imagine if you went to a doctor because you need an operation, then they met you and said: “I’m so excited to conduct your operation. I’m so passionate I can hardly sleep!” You would probably ask yourself, “Good, and how long have you been doing this?”
It never stops to amaze me that doctors, athletes, economists, accountants, and others would devote years and endless hours at huge financial expenses
to learn and prepare for their profession. But when the same people are joining Network Marketing, many won’t give a month’s study and practice to become a Network Marketing Professional.
In his book ‘Outliers’, Malcolm Gladwell describes how research shows it takes approximately 10,000 hours practice to reach the expert level at anything. With 4 hours a day of practice, that adds up to about 7 years. The formula applies to Network Marketing as well.
The good news for us is that we earn while we learn – these go hand in hand!
“I see this knowledge as a ‘recipe for predictable success’. It is my belief that if you get good at this, teach it to your team – and teach them to teach it to their team.”
10 |
SUMMER 2014 | 11
Focus on the skills and practice, practice, practice until you master it. The key to all learning is repetition. Then, when you decide to go pro – your group will also be inspired to grow into professionals as well.
The bottom line is, if you’re going to be involved in this great profession, decide to do it right and treat it like a profession. If you decide to go pro, this business is great. If you join to have a business and earn money, and then treat it as a lottery ticket or as an amateur, it is unlikely that you will be a successful network marketer. However, all are welcome to be part of it, sell products and share the information with others. Earn a little extra. Just don’t expect the business to build itself.
This is not an industry, it’s a profession, and if you do it right it’s truly a career choice. It can take
you out of working in a job that doesn’t make you happy, to a place of total freedom. Decide to become an expert and recognise that you’ll need to learn some skills. Be a ‘responsible professional’. Realise that you are the only variable and take 100% responsibility for your business. You can learn and take advice from your upline and use them as a resource, but do not make yourself and your success dependent of them.
This is a business where you earn while you learn – and learn at a very low cost. It’s truly an equal opportunity business – for anyone, no matter age, race or gender, you can join and become successful. It is uncomplicated and regarded as one of the highest paid skill sets in the world. You may also receive great advice and support from people who are also financially motivated to support you.
Remember, in building a successful Network Marketing organisation, it doesn’t matter what works – it only matters what duplicates. And the formula for financial independence in Network Marketing is your ability to get a large group of people to consistently do a few simple things over an extended period of time.
‘Network Marketing – what it is and what it isn’t’ by Oddmund Berger can be read in full on www.MyNikken.eu - in English or German. The document will show you how to learn Network Marketing and Sales through the same 4 stages of learning and it also describes our “DMO - Daily Method of Operation” – how you work in this business on a daily basis.

There are only 7 fairly basic skills to learn. Be careful with what you allow into your mind. Don’t jump on every ‘new idea of the month’. Be focused on a very narrow range of skills:
1. Finding prospects
2. Inviting prospects
3. Presenting
4. Following-up
5. Closing
6. Getting people started
7. Promoting events PS. Make a committed decision to be
in Oslo 30-31 August 2014 at our next
European event.
Make sure you master these 7 skills first before adding anything else to your ‘to-do’ list.
Recognise that anyone can learn this profession and that YOU CAN learn these skills. If you still don’t believe in yourself, then why not believe in my belief in you, because I know from 14 years of experience in Nikken and network marketing, plus another 18 years of studies and different jobs in business, sales, management consulting and various leadership roles - that you can! You will learn this the same way as you have learned pretty much anything else in life, whether it was learning to tie your shoes, ride a bike or drive a car.

Success breeds success!growth
This spring, we’ve seen the Nikken business in Denmark really go from strength to strength. In March this year the country was number two in Europe in recruitment figures with 87 new Consultants! France was the only country that beat that figure - a country with nearly 66 million inhabitants, compared to Denmark, which has less than a 10th of that.
According to international surveys, Danes are the happiest people on earth, and it certainly shows – this is reflected in their Nikken Business as well as in their daily lives. The Danish Consultants are known for working crossline, together as a team, supporting and encouraging each other. It’s an approach that not only focuses on practical learning, but also on the importance of personal development. In the run up to the Oslo Convention, Denmark has several Platinum members focused on moving to Diamond. Working closely and actively with their teams they’ll be focusing on Business 21 Clubs and rank advancements.
As well as many new Consultants joining, Denmark also saw five new Silvers in just one month. So what’s the secret behind the shift in Denmark? To find out more we asked Platinum Consultants Alicetea Drachmann and Morten Dam what they considered key to their amazing achievements.
Morten Dam says:
"Nikken provides both the opportunity for personal development and a unique business opportunity, that transforms people's lives. It is a way of life, a lifestyle with the philosophy of the five pillars of health at its core. I have had an incredible journey of growth and an ever-increasing belief in Nikken since I started. The products are extraordinary, however I feel that it is very important that you get an understanding and knowledge of Network Marketing as a business, and to have focus on business building. My team and I have a passion and an energy. We want to create a healthy society, and we support each other and have developed true long lasting friendships, based on trust and co-operation. We get everyone involved in our meetings and have Super Weekends every month and 3-4 big presentations in different areas of Denmark as well as regular conference calls and ABC presentations.”
Morten adds: “When we get a new person in the team, it is very important that we train and support them, and that we help them discover their why, their driving force, their goals and their visions. I want to show people that everything is possible and it can be done, and we want to have fun on the way!”
14 |
When we speak to Alicetea Drachman, her focus is very similar:
"It is important to provide the whole picture, not just the products, but the fantastic opportunity for a better lifestyle. I want people to make a decision to join. I will support and help them, but they will need to be committed to learn and work, and then we grow together. We have weekly calls where we have discussions, learn, set goals and plan our activity for the coming week. I send Newsletters to my team, with news, recognition, and information on upcoming events. I focus on ABC presentations, which I believe is the most powerful business presentation to use.”
Alicetea continues: "It is very important to be a role model to the team, and to help others grow and develop, to encourage them to take action and have focus on what they want to achieve. I have a team of very competent people that really want to change and grow - and luckily they dare to dream big. I'm really grateful to all of them. They make it happen."
Both Alicetea and Morten are extremely dedicated and committed to their teams and their goals. They have an incredible energy, which will drive them to further successes in their lives and their business, which really are one and the same. It is a true inspiration to be around people like them and the energy of their positivity and focus. We are looking forward to the future and to see them achieving their goal of reaching Diamond.

The Business21 ClubTake your business to new heights with…
Now that the Global Incentive is on its way (see page 18 and 19), the Business 21 Club is the ultimate tool to get your points to qualify, and at the same time receive an extra financial reward of £175, in addition to your commission. That extra bonus could be earmarked for your place at the Global convention in Orlando next year!
So what are the basics of the Business 21 Club?
Getting started
To get started, visit MyNikken to print off the forms and information you will need. To prepare for the 30-day Club you will need to invite at least 21 people to a presentation, and get help from your sponsor or upline who will be doing the Club with you.
Next, contact your Customer Services team to register the Club. You will need to provide your start date and the name and ID of yourself, who we call ‘B’ in the club and your sponsor or upline, who we call ‘A’.
During the Club
Look to successfully complete at least 21 presentations together during the 21 Club period, using the ABC concept, where ‘A’ the experienced Consultant presents to ‘C’, the Customer, and ‘B’ listens in and learns from the ‘A’.
During the Club the aim is to achieve a minimum of 6 000 PGV and sponsor at least 3 new Consultants who will achieve the rank of Senior during the period of the Club.
A rewarding experience
Your financial rewards will be paid to you and to the Consultant you held the club with the following month as an extra incentive bonus.
Fredrik Marthell, a new Silver from Sweden, exceeded the 6 000 PGV by more than doubling it to almost 16 000 PGV in his first month of being a Consultant. Fredrik started as a Nikken Consultant at the end of February and by the end of March, he had reached Silver Rank.
Here’s what Fredrik had to say about his experience of the Club: "The Business 21 Club gives you a speedy start to your Nikken Business. I learned so much during the process and my upline taught me how to present the opportunity with Nikken as a concept, not just the products. He showed how Nikken was a way of life, and explained how the products all work together to support better health.
The focus was on customers and prospects, not on us, which was a new way for me to work. I’ve been involved in Network Marketing before and attended
sales training where the main focus was to sell, sell, sell and if you put it bluntly ‘manipulate your customer’. This process was very different and we gave the customer the opportunity to ask questions and we asked the customer questions in order to find out about what their wants and needs were."
Fredrik continues with some advice on what the challenges can be: “Because I was so excited about the opportunity and the products, it was sometimes challenging not to talk too much. I also realised that the logistics of having so many presentations in a short space of time involved quite a bit of planning. In the end, my sponsor and I held 35 presentations during the club, and this resulted in new Consultants, many customer orders, and a number of referrals that I have had after the Club from customers who have recommended the products to friends and family.”
Fredrik’s final piece of advice is to: “Listen and learn from your sponsor. Think big and create that momentum in your business. Set big goals for yourself and trust your own ability."
The Business 21 Club is a great way to build your business. Speak to your sponsor or upline today and get started. Not only is it profitable, it is also a lot of fun and gives you training while you are earning.
One of the most important, and rewarding tools for building your business is the Business 21 Club. It’s used to train new people, help to rank advance, and to attract new customers and Consultants on the way. But the Club shouldn’t just be seen as something for new Consultants. Experienced Consultants also frequently use it to rejuvenate their business, and some even focus specifically on the Club for extra income.
Listen and learn from your sponsor. Think big and create that momentum in your business. Set big goals for yourself and trust your own ability.

Paradigm shift (noun)– A fundamental change in approach or
underlying assumptions
In preparation for Nikken’s Global 40th Anniversary Celebration next March, Nikken decided for 2014 to introduce collaborative events with you, our Consultants. These events are designed to bring together leaders from across the international team and focus on key essential areas for growth, to inspire and motivate a new energy within the Nikken Family. The first of 3 events of this kind took place on 5-6 April at Werfthalle Göppingen in Germany and was organised by Wolfgang Sonnenburg.
Wolfgang Sonnenburg summed up the energy of the weekend:
Finally we had the chance again to show what Nikken really is and can do for us. [We hosted] incredible speakers on a very high level and wonderful colleagues from around the globe. [It was] competence and fun together for full two days. Not easy to duplicate. If you weren't there you really missed something. This experience is priceless, life-changing - creating new paradigms and therefore a new way of living…
The world is currently under a massive structural change that not only means changes, but also great opportunities. For in times of change, the foundations for the greatest successes are laid. Over 800 delegates from around Europe, America, Canada, Israel, and Turkey gathered to hear experts from the fields of health, science, economy and sports present their personal paradigm shift and how this lay their road to success.
DAY ONE The start of something truly incredible
After an inspiring opening from Wolfgang Sonnenburg, the morning included talks with Dr. Jürgen Karsten and Prof. Dr. Jürgen Zulley who shared the latest insights in their prospective fields quantum physics and the science of sleep.
Maren Opfermann, a World Champion in Wheel Gymnastics, discussed the similarities for success in business and sport. Oddmund Berger, who has held a number of high profile positions including a senior executive role for IBM before joining Nikken, then used his business experience to discuss changes in the business world. Both presentations gave us great insight into the business world, how it is changing and how we must change with it.
The morning concluded with the audience being able to ask questions from the panel of experts. This all set the day off with a great energy!
Besides being Managing Director of Nikken Europe, Ben Woodward is also an avid reader and researcher, particularly when it comes to the circadian cycle. He led a fascinating insight into this science offering his wealth of experience, capturing the audience and sharing this essential
knowledge. Nikken favourites Dave Balzer and Roger Drummer were on the scene to offer insights into Nikken’s product technologies and the importance of Nikken products.
A key highlight from the weekend was Felix Gottwald, Austria’s top Olympic athlete, discussing how he succeeded where others failed and his personal paradigm shift. This was an inspiring and motivational talk that really gave another insight into personal paradigm changes. Dr. Naidu then concluded the first day’s presentations with an enthralling discussion on the symphony of life.
Jean-Christophe Barreau, Gold, commented: “Stuttgart has been awesome. We spent the weekend with many distributors, and it feels good! Many leaders were present and spoke on stage. The first day was devoted to changing our beliefs, because the world is changing around us. This is what we call ‘changing our paradigms.’ ”
All of Saturday’s speakers inspired participants with their fascinating stories and asked participants to challenge their own paradigm shifts and Sunday was no different.

SUMMER 2014 | 21
DAY TWO The energy and inspiration continues to build
On Sunday, the stage was taken over by international Nikken leaders to discuss topics ranging from international business to health.
Igor Gruendl, Royal Diamond, stated “this Paradigm Change Event has shown what can happen if many leaders from all around Europe and the world commit to come together and share the good news of Nikken. And for those that participated it once again showed big vision and big potential.”
His thoughts were echoed in presentations from Royal Diamonds Oddmund Berger, who discussed the true meaning of network marketing, and Bo Tanas who talked about the importance of the 90-Day push.
“When you get powerful people together who share a powerful vision, the world is a better place. When these and 800 other people are inspired to take action and bring this vision of hope and possibility to others, then change – paradigm-shifting change is probable! I am privileged to be a part of this great team,” said Mike DiMuccio (Royal Diamond), who was there to talk about the rhythm of the Nikken business.
Talks on international business finished with a panel discussion with several international Royal Diamonds.
Nikken’s newest Presidents Club Member Peter Klenner (Platinum) discussed happiness in the business. Walty Bleisch, Nikken’s newest Diamond, on the importance of why, followed Peter Klenner onto the stage. Walty brought on four young members of his team, demonstrating the wonderful success that can be achieved at any age within this business. “I was especially impressed with the panel of young wellness Consultants - the next generation of leaders to come,” said Igor Gruendl (Royal Diamond).
Madlaina Fausch (Platinum) discussed Nikken now and invited three fellow females to talk about how to be a successful woman within the Nikken business. This was followed by veterinarian Gabriele Velich (Platinum) discussing what we learn from animal behaviour. Health presentations continued with Bettina Mersmann (Platinum) hosting a fascinating panel discussion with a variety of doctors and therapists. The health talks concluded with Dr. Naidu, who gave a highly informative presentation on bone health and its importance.
Jean-Christophe Barreau (Gold) commented: “The second day we were able to study all aspects of our profession. I hope that the convention in Paris in November will be as successful as Stuttgart: we have a challenge ahead!”
It wasn’t just today’s Nikken leaders that took the stage, future leaders were also recognised with our new Silvers, Golds, Platinums, Diamond, and 21 Club achievers brought onto the stage to celebrate their amazing success.
Another highlight from the second day was when Miriam Laundry, author of the ‘I Can’ series of books, joined in via Skype to promote Humans Being More day and her message to empower 100,000 children!
It was truly an energetic and inspiring event where everyone came away assessing their own paradigm changes and how they can lay their own road to success.
We now look forward to our next events in Oslo Norway 30-31 August 2014 and Paris, France in November. Turn to page 24 for more details!

When a number of international leaders in Nikken, external experts within their areas, colleagues and friends are coming together – there is always something which effects our way of thinking and creates bigger or smaller AHAs in us. But it’s not only the intellectual ‘brain food’ which makes us feel being part of the ‘right’ company, it’s the talks in between, the lunch and dinner breaks, where we connect with other people, share ideas and thoughts, have fun and practice shoulder rubbing with successful people.
Big decisions are made at big events. Make sure you take advantage of the Oslo event (30 - 31.08.2014) and the Paris event (22 - 23.11.2014). Bring your team there and be inspired.
Angelika and Oddmund Berger Royal Diamond Consultants
A change in paradigms is essential for our future success. Why? Because what we do is the result of what we think, feel and believe. This event helped people see there is a better way of thinking and therefore provided people with a chance to influence their future for the better. All change begins with a change in belief. This event provided that!
Ben Woodward Managing Director, Nikken Europe
I have been going to many events throughout my Nikken career and this was undoubtedly one of the best. Royal Ambassador Wolfgang Sonnenburg created a Paradigm Change Day Event to remember. The expert guest speakers from all around the world shared their insights on how we live in times where the way we think and approach success is changing more rapidly then ever before. Nikken field leaders from all around the world came to share their best practices and insights. Up and coming leaders impressed with their knowledge of what it takes to create a successful Nikken Business.

A Life in Balance
“A life in balance with total wellness rests on a healthy mind, body, family, society and finances.”
If only everyone in the world could know and experience what we at Nikken do. Doesn’t everyone deserve to live a life that is plentiful and wholesome? Doesn’t everyone deserve to be happy, fulfilled and financially secure? Yes they do! Everyone deserves to ‘be more’, and with Nikken they can.
There are so many people out there who are unaware of Nikken and what we have to offer. So we owe it to the rest of the world to be able to experience a better life. From our fantastic philosophy of the 5 pillars of health that guides us through each day, to our unprejudiced believe that humans can be more. Not forgetting the benefits of creating a complete Nikken Wellness Home and our amazing range of everyday nutritional products that promote health.
A new brand video for you to share and enjoy
That’s why our new brand video ‘A Life in Balance’ is so fantastic. It’s the first in a range of promotional tools that will help you raise awareness of Nikken. It’s our ‘why’. It’s our core. It’s our truth.
Many companies have awareness videos such as this, but not many companies have such a deep-rooted purpose, a mission to inspire people to discover a better tomorrow. Nikken has the edge, we are unique, and now you have a visual way of introducing the world to Nikken and ‘warm up’ your next potential Consultant or customer.
You can find this video on mynikken, youtube and our facebook page and we have produced it in a number of languages. Feel free to share it everywhere – put it on your own facebook page, email it to your friends, colleagues, prospects, and in fact everyone that you think will benefit from Nikken.
Together we will let the world know that Nikken can provide a better way of life. A life in abundance, just as nature intended.

Humans Being More Day 2014Empowering self-belief for a better world
Humans Being More has been at the core of Nikken since the company’s founding in 1975 and is integral to the 5 pillars of health – body, mind, family, society and finance. Everyone should be able to reach their full potential, feeling empowered to realise their dreams, which is why the Humans Being More day is such an important occasion in the Nikken Family calendar.
On May 7th 2014 we saw another hugely successful Humans Being More Day with the philosophy behind the message being spread across the globe in conjunction with our efforts to help children’s author Miriam Laundry reach a Guinness World Record attempt. Through Miriam’s positive ‘I Can Do’ message,
literally thousands of children have been inspired with an understanding that anything is possible when they believe in themselves. Throughout the day we saw people who had never even heard of Nikken or Humans Being More being touched by the message and philosophy. The energy was incredible as people were motivated to reach their true potential, by simply changing their attitudes and adopting a positive outlook on life.
The empowering atmosphere continued to build throughout the day with news from across Europe and even globally of how Humans Being More has touched individuals, families and friends, and brought people together.
Children’s author Miriam Laundry

The World Record attempt…
I Can Do!In her efforts to have 100,000 children read her book to learn the positive message of “I Can Do”, Miriam Laundry wanted to achieve the Guinness World Record of the Largest Online Book Discussion in 24 hours, and Nikken was determined to help her achieve this. The period was set for May 6th and everyone who had read the ‘I Can Believe in Myself’ book placed a comment with a pledge of what they CAN do. To help spread the positive message Nikken employees also got involved and took the book to local groups.
The day was a massive success and it is with great pleasure that we can say that the record was achieved! This is such a fantastic achievement for Miriam and for everyone involved. It was inspirational to see so many people pledge with positive attitudes and see the numbers of children who have been empowered by the book. By introducing children at an early age to a belief that they can do anything, this positive attitude is something they’ll carry throughout their lives and spread the message to others.
The continuing momentum of Humans Being More…
Following the Humans Being More Day, we are still seeing the ripples of self-positivity continuing as people discover new things about themselves and further develop their confidence and outlook on life.
The message of Humans Being More and the wide reaching impact of ‘I Can Do’ show how self belief is not in fact just about the self. But instead by looking within ourselves and through the power of our thoughts we’ll help others to improve their lives through kindness and support.
We really can achieve anything we want in life; with the right attitude and determination we can all become ‘more’!
We did it!
…this positive attitude is something they’ll carry throughout their lives and spread the message to others.

The Circadian Rhythm
Ben Woodward talks about biological clocks and how we can make them our friend
One cannot talk about clocks without having an understanding of time. After all, a clock does tell us the time right? So let me ask you a simple question – what is time?
When you stop to think, it can be a tough question to answer. St Augustine (354-430AD) said of this question “If no one asks me I know. If I wish to explain it to one that asketh I know not.” Albert Einstein had a more meaningful contribution on the subject. He said that, “Time has no independent existence apart from the order of events by which we measure it.” Gottfried Leibniz, a German Mathematician said, “Time is merely the order of events, not an entity itself.” What we see here is that the common element of time is ‘events’.
No time for sleep
Our challenge with time in today’s world is that whilst we want to make the most of it, we do so very badly. “Time is of the essence” we say, or “I don’t have enough time.” Then we try to cram more ‘events’ into our lives in an effort to
be more effective or to get more out of life, but do so at a terrible cost. In modern living we see electricity turning night into day, central heating turning winter into spring, food comes pre-packed, we work more, exercise less and disconnect from nature. We are diurnal creatures living in a 24/7 world! We now see sleep as an unwanted necessity that we cut corners on in an effort to maximise our time.
But at what cost does this impact on our health and wellbeing?
Sleep disorders cost the USA alone $40 billion a year in lost productivity, accidents and medication. British Airways warns that decision making can be downgraded by 50%, communication skills by 30%, memory by 20% and attention by 75% because of lost sleep! The risk of a car accident is 20 times higher at 6am compared to 10pm. The risk of injury on a night shift is 20% higher than regular working hours and sleep related workplace accidents cost Britain £114 million a year. Yes – compromising sleep is in fact compromising us.
Timing is the essence of nature
We are making a big error in judgement by missing a little, but ever so important point. Life, happiness and fulfillment are not about time, they are about timing. Interestingly, we see this dramatic power of ‘timing’ in nature all around us. It’s the reason bison know when to migrate, and salmon know when to spawn. Or the reason some birds fly south in winter and lambs are always born in spring.
When we apply this power of timing to our own lives it raises some very interesting questions, such as: Why do we instinctively want to sleep at night versus in the daytime? Why is the risk of heart attack 30-40% higher between 6am and midday? Why do most women go into labour at night-time? Why is Asthma worse at night? And even, why does Rheumatoid Arthritis give us morning stiffness, but Osteoarthritis is worse in the afternoon and evening?
The answer is profoundly simple – it’s because of our biological clocks.
28 |
Listening to our biological clocks
Our biological clock is designed to enhance life and consequently, it is more interested in timing than it is about time. If we listen to it, our biological clock eases the tension between the way we want to live and the way we are built to live. This creates HOMEOSTASIS, or BALANCE.
This amazing clock is about timing and anticipation. It anticipates daily changes and adapts our bodies for maximum effect. It works on a feed-forward versus feedback approach to guide us to a happy and well-balanced life.
Consequently, it stops everything happening at once (which would be most chaotic!). It regulates our moods and emotions, our kidneys and other organs, our blood pressure and body temperature, and our cognitive abilities. Ignoring it can lead to depression, mental disorders, obesity, heart disease, poor social skills, bad choices, and accidents.
In pursuit of balance
What is the solution? Listen to our bodies more! Start by getting a good night’s sleep in a dark room on a good bed. Get plenty of sunlight and if indoors, use good light. Eat healthily, breathe good fresh air, drink pure water, exercise, and avoid the 24/7 lifestyle. Pursue balance. Don’t fight your biology – instead respect and embrace it.
Not surprisingly, the Nikken product range supports this very process and resonates therefore with this very compelling invitation to pursue balance.
To this end I must invite you to watch our new ‘Life in Balance’ video, outlined on page 25. It portrays beautifully the feelings that come from enjoying a life in balance. So why not take a look and get the Nikken feeling?

Rethink what y u drink Water is vital to our
survival but how much do we really know about it?
Water makes up about two-thirds of the weight of a healthy body and is required for most of the chemical reactions that occur within. In order to keep in tiptop condition we need to replace the fluid we lose throughout the day through sweating, urinating and even breathing!
Nikken recognises how important water is, that’s why it is one of our vital elements. To see why we value it so much, here’s some interesting facts we’ve compiled…

PlatinumCongratulations to the following Consultants who have achieved
Nikken came to us as we were looking for a common activity for us both to share, but motivated separately by different things. Olesya wanted to earn more money and I wanted more personal training. We first discovered Nikken a little over 2 years through our Sponsor Anne-Claire Babel, we registered the week after our first appointment. Nikken fulfills both of our motivating factors.
Nikken to us was a new school, a new profit centre, new friends, and ultimately a new life. Nikken has changed our life in lots of different ways, the relationship with ourselves, the relationship with other sources of motivation, we generally go through life with a better definition of our goals.
We owe our rank success to hard work, tenacity, and the absolute belief that we would get there. Above all thanks to the enormous work done by all our associates who sometimes seemed more motivated than us. We had the feeling of being carried by a huge human wave of success.
We attended all possible training sessions, those of our sponsor Anne-Claire, who sowed the good seed, HBM, Silver training then Gold training. We listened to all that our sponsors or others, told us. Olesya was able to follow the excellent training in Russia. We read a lot about the Nikken products and Network Marketing. We continue to learn every day and frankly it’s what makes this job a unique opportunity. We have also since founded our own school with our sponsor and other members of neighbouring lines to share information as quickly as possible to others.
We also recently had the privilege of winning the global incentive for Nikken Europe and met Nikken teams from El Salvador, Peru, Mexico, Turkey, Australia, the United States and many more, it was fantastic and we loved it. We will try to bring as many people with us for the new global incentive this year. Our future plans include increasing our group, to continue building our business in Ukraine to support all our new friends who rely on us. We then plan to develop in Moscow initially, followed by Russia in general, and we have a very ambitious plan in Switzerland with a very dynamic team, who really wants it. Our next goal is Diamond!
I run my Nikken business together with my husband Werner. He also works part-time as a self-employed farmer. I am a trained doctor’s assistant and receptionist and the mother of two toddlers. We started our Nikken business in June 2011. Soon we realised that Nikken is about more than just a network and great products.
Both of us went on a journey of personal growth which enabled us to encourage others to get more out of life. We hold presentations where we present Nikken to people on a regular basis; this allowed us to reach Platinum in November 2013.
Our brilliant Downline has played a big part in our success story. We have a young and motivated team and all of us have become great friends. Working closely with our sponsor Walty Bleisch from Switzerland, who has encouraged us time and again to stick to our goal and try our absolute best to reach it.
Now it’s time to support our Downline in reaching their goals and experiencing personal growth. Our next goal is the Diamond Rank, which we want to reach in the foreseeable future.
Training/ Development:We have already completed three Business 21 Clubs as Consultant A. And we have received our Lifestyle Bonus! We have taken part in the HBM Training four times. We also went to the Silver Training and, naturally, the Gold Training and have learned a lot.
Our Top Tips:• Constant activity, trust in yourself reaching your goal• Everyone needs personal growth in order to make a difference in the
lives of others• As leaders we have the responsibility to motivate others to follow us

GoldCongratulations to the following Consultants who have achieved
Nathalie Harant Chedor Silviane Walti Josiane Erni
I am happy and grateful that I was able to reach the Gold rank!
As a single parent and music teacher, I felt my life was difficult and exhausting. I was tired and irritable, and my life offered no prospects. In 2011 I had the good fortune to discover Nikken through Walty Bleisch and Anthony Wilkins, and I was fascinated! Carrying forward this vision meant learning something new every day, to encourage other people and to develop my own talents.
I thank my sponsor Walty and the warm-hearted, intelligent and ambitious people in my team for their fantastic cooperation. It gives me great joy to help others gain a better quality of life and happiness!
Training Completed: Business 21 Club, Silver Training, Gold Training, HBM (6x)
Top Tips: • Evolve constantly. • Have strength, encourage and
promote people. • Be a role model!
I first discovered Nikken in 2006, at a small organic market, where I sat on the KenkoSeat. After this I attended a presentation given by Luc Griffet, the water filtration system immediately caught my interest as well as the great company philosophy. The business concept seemed simple too; the products could be easily fitted into your lifestyle without changing big things.
After 6 months I went Silver with a great team, Françoise and Luc helped us by sharing their expertise. Gradually, the team started to grow and built to over 13 Silver’s.
I had a dream to live in the sun in the Var and in early 2011 this dream became reality. I then took some time to refocus while continuing to attend various events, repeat HBM training, and work on my goals in life. By writing down what I did not want in my life and what I wanted to replace it with, and with the help of Françoise an action plan was formed.
If someone had told me a few years ago that I would have the life I have now I never would have believed it! Many things have improved significantly. I found the confidence in me and I met my wonderful companion who shares my different passions, we live in a dream location, we travel a lot either for fun (last year South Africa) or with Nikken (Paris, Stuttgart and Oslo in August and of course Orlando in 2015).
The passage to Gold has made me aware of the importance of planning first and foremost, and then do good deeds and the results follow. It is work but what a joy it is to work towards building another paradigm.
My goal is to qualify month after month and help people in my team to qualify and create their own independence. My medium-term goal is to reach Platinum in August 2014 with a growing number of partners; long-term I aim to develop a large international business with Nikken a group of more than 100,000 distributors. I want to provide as many people the opportunity to live the lifestyle they dream of!
Thank you to all the people I met through this beautiful concept, and a huge thank you to Francoise, my mentor, who is gives me good advice.
Top Tips: • Discover your life purpose and what excites you, stay focused on your
goal having made a very specific plan.• Be open and responsive to the people. Use the concept of the balance
of the 5 pillars, and what pillar they need to focus on. Listen to what the people who preceded us have to teach us.
• Follow a process developed by those who win at all levels, attend trainings and put learnings into action.

What Nikken brings me today is the certainty that we can build a better world with great human values. For many years I have looked for ways to help others, always with the feeling that something important was missing. The first time I took part in a Nikken meeting about the 5 pillars of health, I knew I had found what I was looking for and I was going to say YES right away!
Since my sign up, I feel like I have grown, thanks to HBM, group meetings, events, where I heard Consultants’ stories full of authenticity, sensitivity, and humanity, which really touched and struck me.
Offering people the chance to bring balance to their lives thanks to this concept is fabulous.
Today I have a vision, a dream and a desire, strongly anchored in me, to create a better future for my family and the people around me. I am certain that I am building myself an abundant life and that my 5 pillars will help me bring a balance back in my life, little by little.
Think about your abilities and believe in yourself, make the decision to succeed and it will happen. Perseverance is the key word of our business.
Isabelle Panea
I discovered Nikken a year ago, thanks to Mélany Pronzola, and in March 2013 I signed up as an Independent Nikken Consultant and my adventure with Nikken started!
The first thing that motivated me was the possibility of financial freedom whilst helping others. Beyond the natural technologies which are absolutely fantastic, Nikken allows you to meet formidable people. We work in an incredible atmosphere with a real feeling of solidarity.
From the start, I took part in HBM trainings, went to big events, such as Nice, Bruxelles, Vision and Excellence. I train myself with books, CDs, DVDs and the internet. Today, I have 7 people in my team, including 4 I directly sponsor. It’s extraordinary because the adventure is only just starting!
I have big dreams and I am determined to reach my goals fast. Thank you Nikken for being such an exemplary and inspiring company!

I signed my Nikken contract on October 2nd 2012, as I was mainly interested in the products. Since then, I have attended many monthly training sessions in Roissy en France (near Paris), took part in the Excellence Weekends in France, the Ambassador weekends in Belgium, HBM Trainings, I also read many publications that were recommended by my upline, listened to many CDs, etc…
In November 2012, during the Vision and Excellence Weekend, with my sponsor Valérie Hanriot, we promised each other to go on stage together as new Silvers in November 2013 and we did it.
It wasn’t easy, it required a lot of hard work and I will need to carry on working hard because as my American sponsor, Judy Boger, always says “The more our pillars are weakened, the more our glass gets empty and the harder it gets to fill it up again.” The adventure has only just started for me.I feel better every day, I always use the Nikken products, little by little I build my pillars back and for this, I would like to thank my sponsor Valérie Hanriot and Nikken.
Sabine Diggelmann & Walter Diggelmann
When I was introduced to Nikken about four months ago I found it hard to believe that a Wellness Home could change my life. Nevertheless, I trusted my sponsor and can now see the huge positive changes it has brought about in me, and my family. I find working within a team highly motivating – it gives me the drive to keep going when things are running not quite as smoothly.
Training Completed: Silver Training, HBMMy first successes: Silver within 90 days, Business 21 Club
Top Tips: • Work closely with your sponsor• Believe in the Wellness Home and in your team• Keep going!
Marius Leontin & Liliana Puşcaşu
I came across the Nikken products in early December 2013, together with my wife Liliana, we have decided that the most useful and the best Christmas present would be some of the Nikken products both for us, and our families.
We are very happy to have discovered these wonderful products and at the same time, we consider that it is a moral duty to help others discover the potential and the quality of the Nikken products.
We thank our Sponsor Ana Balog who we have built an extremely beautiful friendship with. She guides our steps in discovering the Nikken philosophy with a lot of patience, and attention to details. Through her, we have also truly discovered what team spirit means.
It is our aim to become Platinum by 31.08.2014.

To support Consultants with the depth of information they need, we’re also working on a brand new tool called the ‘Consultant Product Manual’.
