HAVING MOVED TO BRISLINGTON last November, I wassurprised to find there were no magazines or papers for the area.Sure, there’s a free newspaper every Wednesday, but it’s notenough. Without the Internet and especially the BCP Facebookpage, it would be very easy to exist without knowing some ofthe great things going on here.

Brislington is going places and this is why I feel it is a great timeto launch a new magazine. It’s been an interesting journey putting something this bigtogether and I must thank those who have helped and supported me including localbusinesswomen like Amanda Pickstock and Kirsten Clark.

Between the listings for our local businesses, you will find articles introducing someof our local groups including BCAP’s attempts to understand our heritage and the ap-ple trees of the Woodcroft Orchard. Meanwhile the BCP are hoping to help our busi-nesses and Discover Brislington Brook want to preserve our wonderful green spacesthat are home to green woodpeckers, wrens, kingfishers and otters, but are currentlylacking a single nightingale. Well, not any more!
