18–20 Lecture by Irina Tammis and Elo Lutsepp on finding inspiration from patterns in historical garments and jewellery.
20–22 Workshop by Janne Vaabla about printing patterns on cloth bags.
21–22 “Varjuefekt” (“Shadow Effect”) – a film about behavioural patterns.

The art centre and Central Estonian Art Gallery pART are open for the Museum Night.
The museum introduces the history of Põltsamaa Castle and Põltsamaa Parish.
LAIUSE STRAW MUSEUMKUREMAA TEE 36, LAIUSE. OPENING HOURS FOR THE MUSEUM NIGHT: 18–23.
Breeding Patterns – plant breeder Reine Koppel tells about the grain crops of Estonia and their breeding. We will learn about an exceptional German woman from long ago named Hildegard von Bingen, and how her legacy reached contemporary Estonia in the guise of a certain subspecies of wheat.
Straw Patterns – workshop on straw jewellery
Mill Patterns – grain farmer Mikk Tutt (OÜ Mikumikkel) introduces his contemporary stone mill, custom-made in Austria with support from the LEADER programme. He will share his knowledge and experiences of working with a stone mill. Bread and wholemeal flour are for sale.
Museum Patterns – tours of the museum

BUS INFORMATIONOn 18 May, there will be several Museum Night bus tours and special bus lines.
LÄÄNE COUNTY17.00 Departure from Haeska Manor (Haeska, Kiideva, Puise, Panga Centre, Parila, Ridala hill, Asuküla, Mägari, Museum of Coastal Swedes in Haapsalu). The return bus departs at 21.15 from the Museum of Coastal Swedes towards Haeska.
18.30 Departure from Võnnu Manor. (Võnnu Manor, Üsse village, Uuemõisa,Museum of Coastal Swedes in Haapsalu). The return bus departs at 22.45 from the Museum of Coastal Swedes towards Võnnu.
19.00, 20.00 and 21.00 – the bus circles the city. Stops: Museum of Coastal Swedes – Castle Square – Kalda bus stop – Railway Station – Museum of Coastal Swedes.
NB! Seats for Haeska and Võnnu buses need to be booked in advance! Contact: Maire Vilbas, phone: 5068710. The bus has 49 seats.
IDA-VIRU COUNTYThe Museum Night bus tour departs at 14.30 from Narva Language Lyceum (Kangelaste 32) and stops at Vaivara Blue Hills Museum (15.00–15.30), Sillamäe Museum (16.00–17.30), Jõhvi fortified church (18.00–19.30) and Iisaku Parish Museum (20.00-22.00). JÕGEVA COUNTYThe Museum Bus travels the route Põltsamaa – Tabivere Museum – Museum of the Finnish Boys in Äksi – Palamuse Museum – Põltsamaa. Departure at 14.00 on 18 May from the Põltsamaa Castle parking lot.
The bus departs at 14.00 from Põltsamaa Castle parking lot and returns at approx. 19.00.

VALGA COUNTYThe traditional bus tour, organised by Valga Museum, will depart at 10.00 on 18 May
(advance booking required). The bus passes through Parmu Eco-Village, Metsavenna Farm, Ähijärve Visitor Centre and Hallimäe Farm. The bus returns to Valga by approximately 17.00. [email protected]
