NIGERIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION SECRETARIAT REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH, 2017 HIGHLIGHTS The Secretariat activities for the month of March, 2017 are highlighted as follows: WEEK 1 Dr. Musa Kana represented the NMA President at the Stakeholders’ Harmonization Meeting on the integrated Training Manual for Primary Health Care workers in Nigeria held on Monday 27 th February to Wednesday 1 st March, 2017 at IBETO Hotel, Abuja. Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Prof. Usman Yusuf led a delegation of his management team to pay a familiarization visit to the National Officer’ Committee (NOC) of the Nigerian Medical Association on Friday 3 rd March, 2017 at the Conference Room of the NMA National Secretariat, Abuja. Mr. Solomon A. Ogbaje Admin Officer II of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) represented the NMA President, Prof. Mike O. Ogirima at the Maiden Quarterly Interactive Forum on effective Civil Societies Organization CSO’s engagement in Global Financing Facility (GFF) held on Tuesday 7 th March, 2017 at Kapital Klub and Apartment, Abuja. Invitation to the 2017 Annual General Conference/Delegate Meeting (AGC/ADM) of the Nigerian Medical Association to hold from 23 rd to 30 th March, 2017 at Calabar Conference Centre was sent to the Federal Ministry of Health, Minister of Labour and Employment, relevant Government Agencies and all the Stakeholders in the Health NMA PARADISE CITY 2017 POSTER NMA President Prof. Mike Ogirima with the Secretary General and state contingents at the NMA Doctors games in Taraba.

Ogirima at the 3rd Medical Law Seminar held
at Faculty of Law Theater, University of Abuja
Mini-Campus, Gwagwalada, Abuja.
Dr. Frank Odafen AGPMPN President
represented the NMA President at the M-
nutrition Programme in Nigeria held on
Thursday, 9th March, 2017 at Transcorp Hilton
Hotel, Abuja organized by the Federal
Ministry of Health in collaboration with
Grameen Foundation, GSMA and GAIN.
Mr. Emeka Akpa Senior Administrative
Officer NMA attended a meeting of
Committee of Registrars and Heads of
Secretariats of APBN Member Bodies that
was hosted by the Chairman of Committee of
Registrars of member bodies, Chartered
Institute of Purchasing and Supply
Management of Nigeria Onipan Lagos.
WEEK 3
Report of a Second Meeting of the
Committee of Registrars and Heads of
Secretariats of APBN Member Bodies was
received at the Secretariats.
NMA President Prof. Mike O. Ogirima
attended the 2017 World Oral Health Day
held on Monday 20th March, 2017 at the
Edmond Akpabio Hall, NMA House KM 8,
Nwanaiba road, Uyo Akwa-Ibom State.
NMA President welcoming the Deputy Governor to the
Jolly Nyame Stadium venue of the NMA Doctors Games.
Taraba State Governor Arc. Darius Dickson and othe
dignitaries at the NMA Doctors Games.
NMA President Dr. Mike Ogirima, administering oath of
allegiance to the Zonal Representatives at the NMA
Doctors Games in Jalingo, Taraba State.
