IN 1984 Nidecker set out to build the best boards in the world. Twenty Five years later the mission has not changed. We still build the best boards, period. Since ’84, our boards have won numerous accolades in snowboarding, as well as in organizations and magazines around the world, the most recent being our the acceptance of the EUROSIMA award for the 2010 Lifetime Achievement

Award and the 2010 Breakthrough Brand Award for YES. Our design team works with our amazing team of riders to develop the best performance snowboard products in the world. Our factory location in the heart of Switzerland means that our design team has convenient access to some of the best mountains in the world to design test all of our products. We’re out there riding them in every condition possible, ensuring only the best products make it to you. Nidecker is an authentic snowboard brand with a 125-year history of premium wood crafting in our own factory. When you buy Nidecker, you’re buying performance snowboard equipment designed and built by snowboarders for snowboarders.

This year, we focused on all areas of our products, offering more sizes, improving shapes, and reducing weight. In short, we focused on creating higher performance equipment to make your day on the mountain more enjoyable.

One way we’ve enhanced the Nidecker mountain experience is through our binding line. Our bindings specifically complement our carefully handcrafted boards. They look great and offer everything a rider needs. To achieve this, we worked closely with our team riders to develop a simple, superior binding that completes the Nidecker set-up. Our ACT binding is the podium piece of our binding line, featuring signature Nidecker craftsmanship.

Since 1887

T HE Nidecker factory has been specifically engineering and building products, some of the early products were furniture. Of course these products, like many Swiss made products were and still today built with Swiss

pride. In 1912 Nidecker built it’s first skis, all made of wood, then in 1963 the first fiberglass skis being made in the factory to... 1984 Henry Nidecker created the first 50 Nidecker Snowboards and the rest is, well,...history. Since then Nidecker products have ascended Mt Everest to winning lifetime achievement awards along with many other accolades through out its rich 125 year history. The fact is no other snowboard company has quite the rich history and heritage as the Nidecker brand. Nidecker remains committed to its roots but also sets its sights on the future through product innovations that change and help progress snowboarding as a whole, it is in Nidec-ker’s DNA to continue down the path that it started, providing riders with the ultimate tools for the mountain.

Since ‘84

W E provided the first European crafted snowboards created in our Swiss Factory nearly 30 years ago, and we have remained «committed to the ride». Nidecker remains relentlessly committed to the pursuit of

innovation and the true craftsmanship handed down from our forefathers, who back in 1887 already pioneered their craft of woodworking back in the original Nidecker factory. Since those early days to now, Nidecker remains a core innovator in the field of snowboard development and product leadership.

W E have been designing, engineering and manufacturing boards in our state of the art facility in Rolle for more than 20 years. We have moun-tain resorts like Verbier and Chamonix that are an hour away, so this

gives us great access to some of the best proving ground in the snowboard world. Having our own factory gives us the great advantages of controlling the technologies and quality of the products we bring to market each year. Not many snowboard companies have their own factory that allows them to instantly adjust to changing needs of a dynamic snowboarding populous around the globe, Nidecker is a global company with the entire world’s snowboard needs at mind. OUR SECRET

The real twin shape for freestyler in mind. Exactly the same in the nose or in the tail, centered stance, it will give you all the pop that you want. Built to allow riders to jib, spin, stomp and butter. Regular or switch, it doesn’t matter, it’s all the same.

A purely directional board is best for all mountain freeriding. The shape is designed with a longer and wi-der nose than the tail. The nose will give you a plenty control in all the terrain and the tail is stiffer to snap you out of turns allowing no loss of speed when entering the transition between turns.

This is the hybrid shape between the twin and the directional shape. It will give you the float and control as a directional shape with a twin sensation to let you go in easier switch mode. The shape and the stiffness is twin but the inserts have a small setback.

This is still a Twin shape but with a deeper heel edge to allow for that locked in - precise heel turn, the Asym Twin shape has been a staple in the Nidec-ker line and is proving to be a must have for riders around the globe, and is one of our most popular shapes and technolo-gies.

Following the invention of ULIMATE GRIP, the first traction enhancer in 2005, Nidecker has evolved its ULIMATE GRIP system and created the revolutionary ULTIMATE TRACTION.

Nideckers engineers have taken serrated edges to ano-ther level ! In positioning 5 bumps strategically on the board’s effective edges, the snowboard will be more reac-tive in any terrain and you will have more control of your board and way more fun !! Try it, and you will never go back to normal edges.

How does it work ?:Think of a bread knife compared to a normal (flat) knife, put it on edge and imagine how it would hold on ice and hardpacked snow.

- Better Grip anytime, anywhere- More hold and less fatigue = better performance for you !- Extra edge control on any mountain- More reactivity on a CamRock shape

This invention will allow you to ride hard, artificial and icy snow as you have never done before. The board’s shape and its positioning allow to minimize the surface of pressure by 75%, and multiply by 3 the grip, for the same power of pressure developed by the rider. How does it work ? Take an easy comparison: a normal knife and a bread knife. If you want them to cut well, you need to sharpen the normal knife more often, but whe-reas you don’t need to do that with the bread knife. So... “Enjoy the Ultimate Grip revolution!”.

By reducing the wood and the fiber in the nose and tail and reinforcing them with light materials such as Carbon and Kevlar, the free flex technology allowed us to lighten up the board in the nose and tail. Our Freeflex technology also dam-pens vibrations and provides a unique light feel in turn tran-sitions, due to is reduced thic-kness and profile.

The nose and tail of the board are specially molded in a very thin composite material that is laye-red with elastomer that cancels vibrations and provides a unique light feel in transitions, due to its reduced thickness. Freeflex 2.0 has one of the lowest swing weights in the industry. This technology is pa-tented.

Special thick Elastomer interlayer, that gives more comfort and se-curity. Vibrations are eliminated.

A fast base with a dia-mond structured finish, this base is all about speed and is resistant to impact. This base also has high wax ab-sorption qualities.

Fast, durable and easy to maintain. The high molecular structure produces an impact resistant base.

Our specifically deve-loped sintered base with carbon nano par-ticles added to pro-vide exceptional glide. This base was specially developed by Nidec-ker and is very impact resistant.

Our universal base made to absorb wax retains it longer. Excep-tionally durable and impact resistant, this is the «go everywhere» base.

100% Eco base that is the fastest base avai-lable in the market. Produced with carbon, this base has a high molecular structure, this base is our most durable base in the range of base mate-rials.

The advantage of strategic car-bon placement in our boards al-lows for better response, increased POP and stiffness to allow for more aggressive riding as well as hel-ping give you a more damp ride in all conditions.

The Vibra-Kevlar delivers a comfortable ride that reduces vibration and chatter under your feet that will allow you the confidence in going big-ger and faster no matter what the mountain throws at you.

Linseed fiber and basalt are the perfect match to replace and improve the standard fibre glass as this combina-tion is stronger that standard triax glass. The natural quali-ties also allow for a damper more responsive ride.

A Fiberglass produced espe-cially for us, that allows more effective edge response and overall control. We added a bi-directional carbon fabric to al-low for more tuned response in the board underfoot. This is the most premium fiber composite used in snowboards today.

The Multi is the best way between vibration and reactivity. Nidec-ker’s ’s exclusive light Triax which is made with pride in Switzerland. This laminate incorporates a multi layered, multi axis fiberglass which is stitched together resulting in a straight fiber laminate. Incorpora-ted with this are dual Carbon and Kevlar Fiber beams which work with the fiberglass, creating pro-longed and unequalled longitudi-nal snap and liveliness.

ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVESAT Nidecker we’ve taken a big step in the right direction and persist to apply processes to reduce our impact on

the environment. On top of our internal initiatives, such as recycling our wood cores and the hot water used in our snowboards presses to heat the factory through a closed circuit water heated floor system, we apply our

sustainable initiatives to all our product range.

Our Snowboard packaging is minimalist and entirely recyclable. Our waxing processes use a totally biodegradable formula that is used on all our boards. Almost our entire line is manufactured using die cut bases, that not only allow us to use the scraps for producing other bases, allowing us to eliminate an important portion of manufacturing waste, but also permitting us to avoid using harmful petrochemical inks and solvents.

We continue to develop new technologies, fine tune our products and better our processes to strongly reduce our environmental impact on all levels.

All our processes are put in place respecting and often exceeding sustainable norms.

The vast majority of our snowboard manufacturing materials are ecologically certified and are manufactured close to our production facilities.

The development and industrialization is exclusively done in our Swiss factory.

While these efforts result in added manufacturing and hard costs for Nidecker, the family is persistent in his insistence that the additional costs will not be transferred to the consumer. Nidecker has and will remain to be a leader in finding new eco friendly processes that have allowed us to be one of the pioneers of our industry and beyond, since some of our processes have been successfully integrated for over 125 years !

The classic Freeride Legacy returns this year fully fresh and rejuvenated. With our all new eco construction we have created an ecologically sound snowboard that reduces damage to the environment without compromising performance. But don’t go thinking we have compromised performance in the pursuit of our green creden-tials, no siree, the legacy still delivers truly awe inspiring performance over the whole mountain, no matter how fast or steep the going gets this is one board that you can rely on to push you fully to the limit.

Plus qu’une board c’est une pièce d’Art. La Legacy n’a plus rien à prouver en terme de ride, mise au point par les freeriders les plus engagés, cette board est un délice hivernal. For 2012 NIDECKER is the first in the industry to introduce Ther-mochromic technology in their bindings. At cold temperature ( under ~5°C ) the color will change from light blue to dark blue and it will come back as soon as temperature is hot again.

New Lightweight, fiberglass reinforced Nylon design chassis. The perforated heelcup reduces weight but does not affect the res-ponse and strength. Moreover the straps were moved out in order to get a narrow heelcup closer to the boot for a perfect power transmission.

The ladder straps and side straps are injected with a 3D shape that allows you to step in the binding and close your straps faster and more easily.
