At Mosaic, our goal is to help people with disabilities lead richer, more fulfilling lives. But it takes a whole community to make that goal a reality. Every person in ( COMMUNITY) can help. National Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Awareness MonthLetter to the Editor

To the Editor:

March is National Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. Here in (COMMUNITY), it is an opportunity to recognize our fellow citizens with disabilities and the contributions they make to our lives.

People with disabilities desire to be active and involved, whether it is as employees, volunteers, teammates or friends. They enrich our workplaces, churches and organizations.

At Mosaic, our goal is to help people with disabilities lead richer, more fulfilling lives. But it takes a whole community to make that goal a reality. Every person in (COMMUNITY) can help.

Think about hiring a person with a disability; many are reliable and loyal employees. Invite people with disabilities to participate in your organization or community activity; volunteering and socializing is a goal for many. Contact your legislator and let them know you support citizens with disabilities and want them to as well. Give time or money to an organization supporting people with disabilities. Most importantly, model respect through word and action so people with disabilities know they are welcome here.

Thank you to the many residents who already work to make the lives of people with disabilities better. (COMMUNITY) is a great place to live.

Sincerely,
