Its an invaluable new website aimed specifically at 14-19 year olds to help them find out more about the breadth of careersavailable and to encourage them to think seriously about working in the NHS.

Lesson time guide lThis activity will take about 65 minutes to play the card games with a partner, observe other pair scenarios and then write up the observational top tips.

Its your first operation and you are called to their bedside to reassure them.
Its just one hour before they are due to go into theatre what happens?
An elderly lady has come to the dentist with severe toothache. Its the first time she has been to the dentist for nearly 40 years.
The last time she was in the chair she had gas and hated it!
Its hard to get her to stop talking about that last experience. How can you reassure her?

Write up these scenarios in a format guided by your teachers.
A middle aged man has been playing on his daughters micro scooter and has come off. It looks as if he has broken his ankle.
He needs an x ray and has been in A&E for almost two hours, hes missed an important meeting and he is very grumpy!
How can you make him happier as you get him ready for that first x-ray?
