It’s not easy to imagine how someone else feels about what they do. Look into the roles of some NHS staff and see how they might react. We’ve imagined how they might score if they were on a card game Have a look at each of the three cards and then, with a partner, choose one of the characters. You have to then decide how they would respond to the situation they are in, based on the scores in each of their card game categories. Real life, your life? They dont want to admit this.
Its your first operation and you are called to their bedside to reassure them.
Its just one hour before they are due to go into theatre what happens?
An elderly lady has come to the dentist with severe toothache. Its the first time she has been to the dentist for nearly 40 years.
The last time she was in the chair she had gas and hated it!
Its hard to get her to stop talking about that last experience. How can you reassure her?

Write up these scenarios in a format guided by your teachers.
A middle aged man has been playing on his daughters micro scooter and has come off. It looks as if he has broken his ankle.
He needs an x ray and has been in A&E for almost two hours, hes missed an important meeting and he is very grumpy!
How can you make him happier as you get him ready for that first x-ray?
