I hope you are enjoying the summer! For us, it's been busy but great with an

awesome Youth Camp and Vacation Bible School! As we look to the next quarter,

I want to note a few important events for our church and Truthseekers Student

Ministry.

Don't forget about the July 3rd Picnic at JP Moseley park at 6 PM. We'll be

serving BBQ and everyone else will bring the sides. I challenge you to invite a

neighbor or friend so they can celebrate with us! Also, North Henry will be

celebrating it's 30th Anniversary on August 14th. There are lots of fun activities

associated with the weekend so keep an eye out for all the details.

I also want to emphasize 3 major events coming up for Truthseekers Student

Ministry this summer: the TSM Planning Meeting, the TSM Adult Leaders

Meeting, and the ONEDAY Student Leaders Conference. We will hold our annual

planning meeting on July 17th at 6:30 PM. All students, adult leaders, and parents

are invited to attend and have a say in what we do this next year. The following

Sunday, July 24th is when we will have our Adult Leaders Meeting which is open

to adults that would like to serve in the student ministry this next school year.

Finally, any student who wants to be a leader this next school year is invited to the

ONEDAY Student Leaders Conference on July 25th. FBC Jonesboro is hosting

this event and there is a great lineup of speakers who will challenge and encourage

our student leaders to step up and lead. The cost is $15/person. See me for more

details on any of these activities or if you have any questions!

can see those below. Looking forward to watching God continue to work this next

quarter!

Pastor’s Pen .

Dear NHBC Family,

Summer is here. The fourth of July is upon us.

I want to invite everyone to join us at Moseley Park

pavilion on July 3 from 6 to 9 pm, as we have our

Independence Day celebration as a church family. It

will be a great time of fun and fellowship with good

food. The church will provide barbecue, so all you

have to bring are the side dishes. It is a great time to

invite friends and neighbors to come so we can build

relationships, too.

School will be starting back August 1. That

will be time to get back to the routines of life. One of

the best routines you can have is to be in a

Connection Group and in Worship every Sunday. Our

small groups allow you to make friends and to grow

in the Word and in your faith. Please, make it a

priority to have your family set aside the Lord’s Day

as a time of rest and worship. God will bless you for

keeping your weekly time with Him and His family.

Also, we have many ministries for the whole family

in which I hope you will participate. Check out the

details in this newsletter.

Also, we will be continuing our series of

messages in the book of Acts and in the letters Paul

wrote to the churches he visited on his missionary

journeys. I know these messages from God’s Word

will be an encouragement for all of us to Focus on

God, Connect with Others, and to be Missional. That

is how we live the abundant Christian life and grow

in the Lord, as well as growing the kingdom of God.
