CAT POWER RaceThe 31st anniversary of the Cat Power Race took place on Saturday, May 18, with approximately 300 runners and walkers participating. Three races were held again this year: 5K Power Run, 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, and the ½ Mile Kids Only Run. Employees, retirees and their dependents enjoyed the healthy competition on a slightly overcast but pleasant Saturday morning in the streets of downtown Peoria. Family and friends accompanied the participants to show their support. In addition to the multitude of volunteers that helped make the event a success, the Caterpillar Wellness Team was on hand to provide bottles of water to the participants and had made arrangements for massages to be offered to interested runners. At the completion of all three races, awards were given to winners in each age bracket.
