WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND
Individuals who are responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing an electrical safety program.
This workshop will provide you with an opportunity to review, write, and develop your policy and procedures with an industry expert and NFPA Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP). Kiley has many years of experience with enforcement and inspections acting as an Electrical Safety Officer, writing and reviewing electrical safety and lockout tagout policies, performing gap analysis between policy and field work, and performing field audits for practical demonstration of skills. Kiley has experience in a wide cross section of the industry during his career, including electrical contractors, Department of Energy (DOE) and Department of Defense (DOD) sites, as well as big corporations. Come put his expertise to work for you!
During this class we will discuss the flow down from the Occupational Health and Safety Administration’s (OSHA) 10CFR 1910.300 Subpart S for electrical safety, as well as focus on the requirements within NFPA 70E-2021, to ensure your program has all the right elements.
Some of the requirements from 70E are, ensuring your program puts a priority in hazard elimination and creating an electrically safe work condition for your employees. What does your lockout/tagout program look like? Is it compliant with 10CFR 1910 and 70E? Is your facility electrical system code compliant? We will discuss what it means and the requirement to have it inspected after changes, modifications, or additions.
What is your facilities condition of maintenance? Many elements of risk assessment coming from 70E require us to evaluate the condition of maintenance before personnel are exposed to electrical hazards, along with utilizing the hierarchy of risk control to plan work tasks.
We will discuss these and so many other topics. This class is a must for ensuring your facility and staff remain safe.
