We know a school is so much more the bricks and mortar, it’s our Nexus families that make our school so great. We have an open-door policy at school because we believe, that when it comes to your child’s education, the whole family is involved. We have a Parent Lounge looking straight onto the field, perfect for supporting our teams, catching up with friends and hosting our sports BBQs.

We know you are busy and want to offer you the flexibility you need in life. We have a shared workspace so that you are able to work on-site and host meetings. The Shared Workspace is conveniently located next to the Eco Café so that working lunches or coffee pick-ups are with in easy reach.

EARLY CHILDHOOD

The Early Childhood learning spaces have been specifically designed to ensure our littlest learners have everything at the right size to gain confidence and independence. Nursery and Kindergarten have their own dedicated cafeteria, specialist Music and Art rooms.

As Early Childhood is located on the first two floors, children have direct access to outdoor spaces that include a mud kitchen, scooters, teepees, double-storey treehouse, plus sand and water play areas.

Spaces in our Primary years are adaptable and flexible to suit the learning taking place. This gives children the opportunity to use the space to work individually, to collaborate, or to present their work. There are specialist rooms like a Ceramics studio, Makerspace, Design & Technology rooms, Recording studios and Art rooms that enable them to access resources that enhance their learning.

YEAR 7 TO YEAR 13 SECONDARY

Our tweens and teens have different demands as they move into Secondary. These learners need more spaces in which to gather to work collaboratively on projects. These areas need to inspire them to push their ideas further.

As they approach their examination years learners need quiet personal spaces where they can study and work on their individual coursework.

Makerspaces and Design & Technology rooms allow for learning to be more in-depth. For example, our Language learners can use the green screens to present the news in French or Mandarin which challenges their understanding and articulation of the subject.

ART, MUSIC & DRAMA

As a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) school we encourage our learners to be creative in all they do. Our studios allow for students to work across a variety of platforms like Ceramics, Art and Makerspaces to explore their creative spirit.

Music lessons are enhanced with three state-of-the-art recording studios. Our theatre is the perfect backdrop for guest speakers, school plays and exhibition work.

Our two black boxes are truly flexible spaces, allowing for intimate experiential theatre performances, to dance and practical lessons.

SPORT FACILITIES

Our two gyms are designed to be split into four spaces for teaching. They are equipped with bleachers to ensure our teams get the best support when competing.

The Aquatics Centre features a 50m Olympic-sized pool as well as a 20m shallow pool for swimming lessons or for our athletes to warm up in. The pool is fitted with the latest Omega touch pads to ensure our swimmers get accurate recordings. The 20m pool is partly shaded to offer protection from the sun.

Our FIFA and World Rugby approved AstroTurf field is full size to ensure our football, rugby and cricket teams have plenty of room to score.
