TRINITY PRIMARY SCHOOL Weekly Bulletin Class: P1B/K, P1M, P1N, P1P Date: Friday 29th September 2017 Trinity Superstars! This Week's Learning P1B/K Hasitha Ramin P1M Phoebe Megan P1N Jamie Silas P1P Kirsty Magnus Literacy This week we have been focusing on our new sounds; i, s and m. We have been saying the sounds, forming the letters (using the Read, Write, Inc) and trying to use them to build CVC words. STEM We have been learning to recognise numerals up to 10 and some of us even up to 20! We have also been learning to sequence numbers from 1-10 or 20. Outdoor Learning In the Courtyard we have been working on 2 feet - 2 feet jumping and over arm throwing. In the Secret Garden we have been learning to measure using natural objects and order collections based on size. We have also been building stick doors and using our imaginations to create a story of what we find behind them. Creative We have been creative with this week's sounds; i, s and m. We made igloos, snakes and Mr Messy characters. We also used our bodies to dramatise a made up story which contained words starting with our focus sounds. Reading The children were so excited to receive their reading books last week. Unfortunately a number of books have been left at home and this makes it difficult to issue new books to all the groups. It is essential that children have their reading books in school with them every day. Please ensure your child brings their reading book in their book bag everyday!
