Hello Everyone, Looks like the show/auction schedule has quieted down for the next month or so. This should give everyone a break to spend time with their families over Thanksgiving and Christmas. The first auction of the year is DAAS's in January, please come out and support us. Please check the NEC calendar for upcoming shows/auctions and make sure to send Barb Romeo information/fliers on your club events. Don't forget to get out there and support our sister clubs, you'll have a great time doing it, really! I want to apologize to the board for the short notice in canceling the November 16 board meeting, we've had a death in our family and we need to attend to the arrangements. Barb will send out the reschedule information shortly... I just want to remind everyone that the NEC elections will be held at the December general meeting. The slate has been published in the newsletter. The club delegates should plan on attending this meeting to represent their clubs for the voting. We will be holding this meeting at the Rocky Hill Sheraton so everyone will be able to see the new convention and meeting location. Please mark your calendars: the next NEC convention will be held on March 20-22, 2015 at the Rocky Hill Sheraton. The convention is put on for the benefit of the NEC member club members, so we ask that you help us by supporting this event. Betty Mueller Memorial Award: Folks, it's that time of the year when the clubs and club members should be nominating candidates for this award. The award will be presented at the 2015 NEC Annual Convention…

Now, we need YOUR help: please help ups promote the convention on the web by posting on aquarium forums and social media, and any club to which you are a member; sharing posts and inviting friends in our NEC and Event pages; and requesting website to post our bannered ad with a link to the NEC convention URL. If you are a member of a Non-NEC club or national organization, please let me know so that we can send convention postcards to the club or organization to promote our event. My e-mail address is [email protected]. Thanks! Attached at the bottom of the newsletter is our convention flyer. Please print out copies and distribute to friends and club members. Hospitality Room: Steve Lundblad, owner of Wet Pet in Portland, Oregon, is this year’s hospitality chair. Hello NEC folks! I am looking for early history of all the clubs in the NEC. What I mean by "early history" is information on the first

few years of your clubs existence, no matter how old the club is. Things like names of charter members, who/why was it decided to form your specific club, dates of important first events like auctions and/or shows, etc. I am currently writing the complete history of TFSRI, but I

am including a history bit on all the clubs in the NEC as a separate section. Feel free to email me any info at mailto:[email protected]. Anything would be much appreciated! Thanks, Rick
