tried out a new facility for the dance. In spite of a sit down and very clear communication we had

issues with people not paying because of the facility we used. We decided to move back to 15th &

Derry. Unity Day is fully planned out and we are ready to roll. Come out on Sat. April 9th. TFLUS.

Rachelle W. UNITY TREASURERS’ REPORT: See Attached.

PUBLIC RELATIONS: This subcommittee is extremely busy & we could definitely use help!! 1st off

there are 2 events we are attending in April. The already arranged Health & Wellness Fair at CD High

School on the 26th which is a large commitment. Then I was contacted this week by Steve B from the

JFT center to have a table for NA as a resource after a Town Hall meeting on the Heroin Epidemic

Thursday April 24th. Please fold these 500 meeting lists for us. We ordered $100 of literature, 6 IPs

appropriate for the general public as recommended by World Guide to Public Relations. A new meeting is

going to start in Linglestown & 2 NA members already spoke to the church. Exodus to Genesis will be

moving & will need PR for that facility. I found that NA is listed in the yellow book with an address on

North St Harrisburg which is a barber shop so this needs updated. Stericycle billing situation, countless

hours were spent consolidating our account information then being bounced between representatives at

company. Finally landed with a client relations specialist to whom I emailed a background and 6 points

Page 4: **Next Area is May 1, 2016** Group reportscasna.info/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/april2016Vol32Num4.pdf · 4/8/2016  · Only Hams Are Cured – Sat. 7-8:30. 6th & Forester St. –

of consideration. What I have heard back on is the remaining late fees have been removed, $60 and

probably $53.93 for 7 months of patch time that weren’t redirected. They sent generic letters about

“use fees”: the compliance regulatory of $15.93 a month was undated, the technology of $11.95 a

month was dated effective Sept 1, 2015; both unsigned. We had never received notification of either, or

that there was base rate & IVR increase. They are still looking into May additional charges of $226.09

which I don’t believe are actually ours. Finally, requested to become tax-exempt again as we were with

Phone Power before they purchased them. We do have non-profit EIN for banking purposes but the Area

is not incorporated and we cannot utilize either the Regions or Worlds numbers. WSO did provide me a

letter & forwarded it. It explains the Fellowships status & that service committees have been extended

the privileges. Kathy W had researched several other answering services this past month & reported

back on her findings.

LITERATURE: We sold $770.25 of literature today. Back orders are down considering last month

orders were from the past 2 months. Betty Jo H.

RCM: There was a rewording of 1215P2: That all regional officers and subcommittees report at every region – should have included the word financial. New wording 1215P2 that all regional

officers and subcommittees report their financials at every region. This motion will be voted on in

June 2016. Motion 1215P4 passed which rescinds 0615P1which required the RD to vote NO on

any changes to motions. Please consider that the RCM will be done soon and the Alt RCM position

will be open, take this to home groups. Faith and I submitted a housekeeping motion per policy

to be reimbursed for millage to the Region Meeting in March. The next Region flyer is attached for

Lock Haven in June. Tally sheets will be collected until mid-April to be scanned in to the RD by

email. Faith is still going to groups for explanations. Group insurance and special events

insurance forms are on the table. There is an ADHOC committee to go over policy for MARLCNA

because positions have been deleted years ago so policy needs adjusted. We can use any help.

Our first meeting is April 10 at noon at the Lancaster Host. See Nancy U if interested. Faith W.
