Looking into the future, NEXCOM will soon release an

exciting range of world beating platforms which are

based on Intel Tunnel Creek technology. Now it’s officially

named as E 600 series. Typical of the range is a new 3.5”

embedded board with 1.3 GHz CPU, 512MB memory,

dual GbE LAN, which consumes only 12 watts with HDD

on the fly!! Other available products include bare bone

embedded boards, system platforms or solutions for

applications such as digital signage or entry level surveil-

lance. A POE derivative is also on the way.

We will also release a range of platforms which are based

on the Intel Huron River or Sandy Bridge series, these will

be available in COM Express format, NDiS Systems, and

also available for custom design requests. NEXCOM is

fully committed to be the technology leader, as well as a

vertical market expert. To meet these commitments we

have built a strong team.

With an increased number of large projects on the way,

we are very optimistic about our prospects for the Q4th

and 2011. With a rapidly expanding range of exciting

products and an increased factory capacity, we are

paving the way towards further growth. A brand new

NEXCOM with a stronger partner network is on the way.

Time passes by so quickly! As I write this article it is now

more than 4 months since the NEXCOM GPC 2010 in

Shanghai. Within this period, I am happy to report that

Nexcom has begun to benefit from the strong momentum

of the global economic recovery. For instance, by the end

of Q3, we expect NEXCOM’s revenue to grow by 45%

when compared with the same period in 2009.

To fulfill the expanding demand for NEXCOM products,

we are constantly exploring ways of increasing our manu-

facturing and logistics capability. With this in mind, we

have recently expanded our factory facility giving us an

immediate 60% gain in production capacity from January,

2011. Within three years, at the same site, we aim to have

expanded our current capacity by 250%, a figure large

enough to support our business growth targets.

NEXCOM’s recent business growth has been enhanced by

a rise in application domains such as machine control,

in-vehicle computing, and network security. This means

that our fanless NISE series, the VTC series, and the NSA/

DNA series are the best sellers. To help our partners take

advantage of these booming opportunities, we are

currently generating a variety of application success

New Products Multi-Media Solutions (MMS)

NDiS 123 is targeted at entry-level digital signage

applications. Enclosed in a compact chassis with low

power consumption, it can be easily integrated with

display devices such as LCD TV or PDP at site installation.

This makes NDiS 123 perfect for increasing number of

digital signage applications within retail outlets,

department stores, entertainment venues, restaurants,

hotels, bus/train stations, schools/universities and

NDiS 125 enclosed in 25.2mm compact chassis with low

NISE 2100, is the first Intel® Atom™ 1.8GHz Dual Core™ fan-less system, to be launched onto the market with DDR3 800

SO-DIMM memory socket type on board. With the processor, NISE 2100 boasts improved performance characteristics in

comparison with other Atom™ based fanless Industrial PCs. And in

line with industry trends, NISE 2100 features the DDR3 memory

module. In short, the above two features make NISE 2100 become

No. 1 fanless PC system.

NISE 2100 also features 6 x serial ports including two with

RS232/422/485 modes, which meet the requirements of industrial

automation applications. To function in mobile applications, one mini

PCIe socket and an on-board SIM card holder are available for wireless

connectivity, but also for 3G mobile solutions. An SSD, CF card and

SATA-DOM are adopted for storage to minimize impacts caused by

vibration.

Possessing flexibility and strength, NISE 2100A series offers PCI or PCIe x1 expansion. This flexible system has a wide DC

input range from 9 to 36V, a feature which makes the NISE 2100A suitable for use in a wide variety of applications,

including industrial automation, mobile computing, and outdoor deployments such as Kiosk, and HMI etc. For mobile

applications, NEXCOM has also introduced the NISE 2100A, a product which can function in wider operating

temperatures, from -20 to 70 degrees C.

New Intel Tech in Network ApplianceNEXCOM has introduced new Intel based technology into its latest Network Security Appliance platforms. The new 1U

rackmount NSA 1120/ 1120A Network Appliances and DNA 1120/1120A Desktop Appliances feature of the Intel® Atom™

Processor D425/D525 with 1.66GHz Signal/ Dual Core™ and DDR3 memory. The new CPU boasts the key benefits of powerful

performance with reduced power consumption.

In addition to the Atom™ solutions, there are also improvements in Intel Network technology, NEXCOM NSK 5199 is designed

as a low power, dual-port 10 GbE NIC w/ SFP+ modules which is based on the Intel® 82599ES. It supports SFP+ 10 Gigabit

Ethernet PCI Express with the latest networking technology. NSK 5180 series support up to 8 gigabit Ethernet which is based

on the Intel® 82580DB controller, bringing advanced performance features to gigabit Ethernet connected applications. It

supports eight SFPs or eight RJ45 ports on the front panel. Both of NSK 5199 and NSK 5180 series are suitable for NSA

7110W, NSA 5120 and NSA 3111 platforms.

As all signs indicate a positive upturn in the global economy, NEXCOM held its 2010

Global Partner Conference in Shanghai, China, on May 26-28. At this event, Nexcom

gathered its valued partners to discuss significant market trends and build a solid

foundation for future business expansion.

Clement Lin, NEXCOM Chairman, opened the conference by stating that to achieve ten

times growth; Nexcom and its partners should target selected vertical markets with

appliance based solutions. Clement also went onto to state that Nexcom has in place a

range of technically advanced products including solutions for in-vehicle and mobile

computing, complete bottom-to-top multi-media solutions, Industrial Computing and

other vertical markets. The company also has key account managers focused on network

and communication fields.

But this is only one of the key factors which will enable NEXCOM to reach the next peak.

NEXCOM has participated in the Intel Development Forum which took place in Moscone Center, San Francisco this year in

September from 13th to 15th. The IDF brought together experts and visionaries from around the technology world to share
