COOKING THE BOOK/Coginio y Llyfr ...

Nursery and Reception children had a very special visitor into

class this week. Our school cook came in to share a small welsh story ‘Y Fasged’ with the children. The cook brought a

basket of goodies into class and the children were then asked some Welsh questions about what was in the basket – Beth sy

yn y fasged?

All children were confident at asking and answering the questions and were also able to remember the names of fruit in

Welsh, with Finnley in Nursery remembering the Welsh word for

grapes – grawnwin.

Da iawn Finnley!!

“She showed us oranges, grapes, apples and bread” – Sophie

“She brought some welsh books in and she read them to the class” – Max

“She left her basket of fruit in class for us to play with it” – Reece

“She had some bara a caws in her basket” – Freya

“Kelly had lots of fruit in her basket, she had grawnwin, afal, oren, banana” – Theo and Cody

“We asked the cook some questions in welsh” – Harriett

Pwy wyt ti?

Sut wyt ti?

Beth wyt ti’n hoffi?

Beth wyt ti ddim yn hoffi?

Diolch yn fawr iawn Kelly!!!

MARGAM PARK MOUNTAIN BIKE OPEN DAY

The MOUNTAIN BIKE CLUB in Margam Park starts this Sunday with a FREE open Day for pupils in Years 5 & 6.

Pupils can either take their own bikes or hire ones at the park for free. There will be a skills loop and a guided ride to

cater for all abilities. Meeting point is by the café in the courtyard at 9am. The session will finish at 10:30am

We look forward to hopefully seeing a lot of pupils from Coed Hirwaun

Primary School at the club.
