Newton Scooter ProjectNewton’s 3rd Law of Motion
Purpose
To design and construct a vehicle powered ONLY through Newton’s 3rd Law of Motion
Newton’s 3rd Law – if one object exerts a force on another object, the second object exerts an equal force on the first.
Requirements
Vehicle must use Newton’s 3rd Law to move forward. Can ONLY use scrap materials (paper, straw, string,
cardboard, etc.) Vehicle MUST travel forward 2 meters across the
finish line. Must stay within a 1 meter width.
Limitations
You CANNOT interfere with movement of your vehicle.
You CANNOT use any form of electricity or pull of gravity to move vehicle.
The use of a “track” or string is permitted to help guide the vehicle

Also use Youtube as a good resource for design ideas.
Bonus:
There will be one winner from each class for the fastest car. That winner will receive 20 bonus points.
The winner from each class will also race the other winners from the other classes in a tournament at break on Mon, March 2. That winner will receive 50 bonus points.
