17 YEAR OLD DANIEL PARKER died saving his friend, Reece Michaels, from a car collision on the Warfdale road in Tyseley. The boys were leaving the Tyseley train station on the way home from Birmingham city centre, at around 5:00 on Saturday evening, whilst in the road a silver ford had taken a sharp turn off the Tyseley at the same time a black BMW was turning onto the Warfdale road. Students from local a primary school raise money to get some new nursery playground. (As seen below)

Both the juniors and the infants at Yarnfield Primary school, in Tyseley, Birminham, played a roll in raising school funds for the new playground. The previous playground was lacking in entertainment factors for the children. They were bored with the playground quality ad many of the children were find ither and more unconstructive methods of entertianing them-selves during their break and lunch playtimes. The children and teachers raised

nearly £2000. The children created toys, that they then later sold to the parents. Our sources say that with the new payground in form the bevav-iour of the children has dramati-cally changed for the better. They work more efficently in class and thay have a generally better attitude towards everything inthe school. Head teacher Miss Dixon says she is glad with the decition mae to build a new playground and would regret it for the world. It has bettered the children in more than one way.

From page one:The silver car involved in the ac-cident was reported to have been a stolen car. The driver Oban Mukhtar was arrested a week later and was and charged with theft and death by dangerous driving.

He will be going to court on the 25th November on trial. Mukhtar says that it wasn’t his fault. He says that the boy appeared out of nowhere and he had no chance to break. Even so, the car in question was

stolen and he will still be charged on both cases. Daniel’s mother, on the other hand, says that Mukhtar is completely to blame. He has no right to try blaming the boys for his foolish driving skills. If he wasn’t trying to get away in a stolen ve-hicle none of thas would have happened. The driver of the black BMW was taken to hos-pital with some fractures from the impact as well as some other cuts and bruises, none of which that are serious. His familty and his friends will be hold a funeral and a remember-

ance service to commemo-rate him. Life was always something that Daniel enjoyed and his friends, has promised to live like he would have.
