PARENTS

Cold, Flu & Stomach Virus season is here!! Just a few friendly reminders concerning school protocols.

1. PLEASE DO NOT send your child to school if having vomiting, diarrhea, or elevated

temperature in early morning hours prior to start of school day.

2. If your child has an elevated temperature PLEASE DO NOT give any temperature low-ering medicine (Tylenol, Ibuprofen, etc.) and send to school. Your child is still contagious

to others.

3. PLEASE follow all doctor recommendations for returning your child to school after an illness.

4. School protocol requires children to be fever free for 24 hours

without medication before returning to school.

5. If you are contacted by the school nurse or school staff member regarding illness of your child PLEASE pick up your child promptly or make arrangements for someone

else to pick them up as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Velma Davis, RN Dawson Springs School Clinic
