Interpack advisory council The Interpack Processes and Packag- ing 2011 Advisory Council has unani- mously elected Christian Traumann, managing director of Multivac Sepp Haggenmüller GmbH & Co. KG as the new president of the show. The vice presidents are Friedbert Klefenz, president of Bosch Packaging Tech- nology and Bernhard Borgardt, a rep- resentative of RPC Group, who is also president of the German Associ- ation for Plastics Packaging and Films, the Central Federation of the Plastics Processing Industries and the European Plastics Converters. The next Interpack will take place May 12 –18, 2011, in Düsseldorf, Ger- many. In October 2009, exhibitor applications for the event will be available. The exhibitor registration deadline will be February 28, 2010. Schloesser most recently served the company as president and coo and will retain the title of president. Schloesser is now in charge of the company, including the Torayfan divi- sion (pp ), Lumirror division (pet ) and PEF division (olefin foams). In addition, he will act as an adviser to Toray Industries’ board of directors. Schloesser succeeds Kojiro Maeda, who is returning to Toray Industries in Japan as deputy general manager, Films division. Schloesser began with Toray Plastics in 1990 as a sales and marketing manager of the Torayfan division before appointments as vice president of sales and marketing, senior vice president of sales and marketing and execu- tive vice president. Before joining Toray, Schloesser was with ExxonMobil.
