Dear confreres, The Lenten season is approaching and certainly prepares us to celebrate with renewed spirit the new life in the risen Lord. We ask God to bestow upon all of us the joy and the power of the Resurrection so that the words of Jesus may become real as He said: “I have come so that you may have life and have it to the full” (John 10:10). "I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. (John 11:25) May we experience a Joyful and Holy Easter! In this newsletter you will find some signs and commitments in the life of our Province. I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate the 2011 Jubilarians from our Province, Fr. Gino Dalpiaz, (60 years), Fr; Ermete Nazzani, (50 years), Fr. Angelo Risoli, (50 years), Fr. Giovanni Bizzotto,(25 years) and Fr. Claudio Holzer, (25 years). We thank God for the gift of their life, vocation and service to the migrants in the Scalabrinian family. As you are aware, the General Superior sent to all members of the Congregation a letter urging us to journey together this year as “Evangelizing Community”. His words are meant to awaken in each one of us the desire to reflect on our being and our ministry as Scalabrinians and to look together for new ways to be better evangelizers of and with the migrant people in a highly mobile world. To this end, he encourages everyone to make use of the reflection leaflets prepared by the General Secretariat for the Specific Sectors and the Lay People, in view of the Congregation’s meeting to be held in Merlo (Argentina) from October 4-7, 2011.

This year we also have in the Province, the elections of a new Provincial Administration. The process will start in August and will conclude in December 2011. Let us pray so that the Lord may guide us to elect a new Provincial Superior and Provincial Council that will lead the Province of Saint John the Baptist to a creative fidelity to our Scalabrinian Charism. The Inter-provincial Assembly will be held this year in Toronto, Canada on May 9 – 13 I hope to see you there. I wish you a fruitful ministry and a Blessed Easter. Sincerely yours in Christ, Fr. El tiempo de la Cuaresma se avecina y ciertamente nos prepara para celebrar con renovado espíritu la nueva vida que viene del Señor Resucitado. Que este tiempo favorable en la Iglesia, el Señor nos conceda la alegría y la esperanza de la Resurrección para que sus palabras se tornen reales en nuestra vida y ministerio: “Yo vine para que todos tengan vida y la tengan en abundancia” (Juan 10,10). Yo soy la Resurrección y la Vida; el que cree en mí, aunque esté muerto, vivirá. (Juan 11:25). ¡Que todos podamos vivir una Feliz y Santa Pascua!

En este boletín encontrarás algunos compromisos y señales de vida en la Provincia. Aprovecho la oportunidad para hacer pública mis felicitaciones a los cohermanos de la Provincia que están este año celebrando sus aniversarios de Ordenación Sacerdotal: P. Gino Dalpiaz, (60 años), P. Ermete Nazzani, (50 años), P. Angelo Risoli, (50 años), P. Giovanni Bizzotto, (25 años) y P. Claudio Holzer, (25 años). Agradezcamos a Dios por el don sus vidas, de su vocación y del servicio prestado en favor de los migrantes dentro de la familia Scalabriniana.

Como ya están enterados, el Superior General envió a todos los cohermanos una carta

exhortándonos a caminar juntos durante este año como “Comunidad que evangeliza”. En ella

exhorta a cada uno de nosotros y las comunidades a reflexionar y examinar nuestro ser y

ejercer migratorio y de buscar juntos nuevos modos de ser mejores evangelizadores de los y

con los migrantes como scalabrinianos a la luz del moderno fenómeno migratorio. En este

sentido, anima a hacer útil el uso de las fichas preparadas por el Secretariado general para los

Sectores específicos y para los Laicos, en vista del encuentro de Congregación que se llevará

a cabo del 04 al 07 de octubre en Merlo (Argentina).

Este año también tendremos las elecciones de la nueva Administración Provincial. El proceso iniciará el mes de agosto y concluirá en diciembre 2011. Recemos para que el Señor nos guie a elegir un nuevo Superior Provincial y Consejo para que logren conducir la Provincia San Juan Bautista a una fidelidad creativa al Carisma Scalabriniano. La Asamblea Inter-Provincial se llevará a cabo este año en Toronto, Canadá de los días 9 – 13 de mayo, espero verlos por allá. Votos de un fructífero ministerio y una Bendecida Pascua. We take this opportunity to wish all of you a very happy 2011! Our prayer for each of

you this year is that the Lord may fill you with blessings of peace in your journey of

service to God’s people.

This year’s Inter-provincial Assembly will take place in Toronto. We have booked the

Delta Toronto Airport West Hotel that will provide us with a great environment for our

Assembly. The Hotel is near the airport and offers complimentary 24-hour shuttle

service to/from the airport.

Therefore we extend an official invitation to each and every member of our provinces to

come and celebrate our Inter-provincial Assembly. The theme for the Assembly is

“Memoria Historica” – Looking to our past in order to have a vision to our future.

ORDINATION TO THE PRIESHOOD

Deacon Marcelo Hernandez Martinez, cs, who is assigned to Saint Francis Cabrini Province, was ordained to the Priesthood on January 7th 2011 at Santa Maria Assunta Church in Pochutla, Oaxaca, Mexico by the Most Rev. Eduardo Carmona Ortega CORC, Bishop of Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. The First Mass was celebrated on the day after, January 8th.

MISSIONARY ASSIGNMENT

Fr. Romano Cerantola, CS, is assigned as the new Vocation Promoter in Guatemala effective February 10th, 2011. He will reside at “Casa de Formación Scalabrini” in Guatemala City and will be part of the Local Community of Guatemex. I thank Fr. Romano for his dedication and ministerial service at the missions of St. Peter, San Conrado and the House of Discernment in Sun Valley, California and especially for his spirit of availability in accepting this new missionary assignment.

2011 CANONICAL VISITATION OF THE PROVINCE

According to Rules of Life #256, the Provincial Superior must make a Canonical Visitation of the Province at least once during his term of office. The religious prepare themselves for the visitation by meeting under the guidance of the Local Superior to discuss concerns, plans and expectations for the future. The Canonical Visitation began in February 2011 in Guatemala and Tapachula, Mexico and will continue during the month of March in the area of California. I will send a schedule for each region in consensus with the Local Superior at a later date.

GUATEMEX REGIONAL ASSEMBLY

En un ambiente de fraternidad y planeación de la labor misionera y formativa en los países de Guatemala y México, se llevo a cabo el encuentro anual de “Guatemex” los días 14 a 17 de Febrero, 2011 en la Casa de Formación Scalabrini en Ciudad de Guatemala. Aprovecho para expresar un especial agradecimiento a cada uno de ustedes por vuestra presencia y aportación en este importante encuentro regional. Agradezco en particular a los sacerdotes Francisco Pellizzari, Mauro Verzeletti, y Romano Cerantola que nos ayudaron con la logística del encuentro, por la hospitalidad y organización del encuentro. La próxima reunión de “Guatemex “será en los días 13 – 17 de Febrero 2012 en Tapachula, México.

LOCAL SUPERIOR MEETING The annual Local Religious Superior meeting in the Province will be held at Saint Charles Residence in Sun Valley, CA on March 15 –16, 2011. I’d like to remind all the Local Superiors to bring to this meeting the responses to the Provincial Pastoral Plan questionnaires for your community and individual religious.

OFICINA DE ACOGIDA A MIGRANTES DEPORTADOS

Con un contracto firmado por 2 años con la Cruz Roja Internacional (2011-2012), el P.

Ademar Barilli, cs abrió una oficina de asistencia en El Carmen, frontera de Guatemala

con México para recibir y encaminar a los migrantes deportados desde México a la

Casa del Migrante de Tecún Umán. Todos los días llegan a esta frontera un promedio

de 3 autobuses de migrantes deportados y que son víctimas fáciles en las manos de

todo tipo de explotación. Esta iniciativa busca dar una respuesta concreta a una

realidad migratoria que es siempre cambiante y muy fuerte en este lugar de paso

fronterizo.

REMODELACIÓN DE LA IGLESIA EN TECÚN UMÁN

Bajo la iniciativa y liderazgo del P. Julio López, cs se llevo a cabo la reforma del

Templo del Señor de las Tres Caídas en la ciudad de Tecún Umán, Guatemala. Una

compañía mexicana fue la encargada de realizar esta obra que transformó

especialmente la visión interior del templo, el cual proporciona ahora un ambiente más

agradable de recogimiento y oración. Nuestras felicitaciones a los sacerdotes Julio y

Alfredo que misionan en esta Parroquia y a toda la comunidad católica de Tecún Umán

que se siente orgullosa de su nueva Iglesia.

ENCUENTRO INTERPROVINCIAL DE FORMACIÓN 2011 Los formadores y animadores vocacionales de ambas provincias norteamericanas realizarán su encuentro anual en Toronto, Canadá en los días 8 y 9 de mayo 2011. La Organización del encuentro está a cargo de los sacerdotes Giovanni Bizzotto y Gabriel Forero.

THE JUBILEE YEAR FOR VOCATIONS

The Superior General has officially announced that from November 28, 2011 to November 28,

2012, the Congregation will celebrate the “THE JUBILEE YEAR FOR VOCATIONS” as a

memorial of the 125th Anniversary of the Congregation’s founding. This milestone will embrace

the efforts of all members of the Congregation, including seminarians, lay people and all our

pastoral positions.

El Superior General ha oficialmente anunciado que del 28 de noviembre de 2011 al 28 de

noviembre de 2012 se celebrará en Congregación “EL AÑO JUBILAR VOCACIONAL” para

recordar los 125 años de fundación. Este acontecimiento deberá envolver a todos los miembros

de la Congregación, incluyendo seminaristas, laicos y todas nuestras obras.

XXIII ASSEMBLY OF MAJOR SUPERIORS On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of our presence as Scalabrinians in Portugal, the XXIII ASM will be held in Amora, Portugal, from May 23-29, 2011. The theme of this year’s Assembly will be: Community and new Evangelization.

PIACENZA COURSE This on-going formation course will be held at our Mother House in Piacenza, Italy, during the month of September 2011. The course will be in Italian. If you wish to participate in this course, please contact the Provincial office. The course is organized by the General Secretariat of Formation, led by Fr. Carmelo Hernandez, cs.

YOUNG SCALABRINIAN RELIGIOUS MEETING

The Interprovincial Meeting of Young Religious will be held in Vancouver, Canada from

September 26 – 01 of October 2011. Please buy your ticket as soon as possible and

arrive on Monday September 26 at Vancouver International Airport.

INTERPROVINCIAL FILM PROJECT

We have been advised that “GATEKEEPER PRODUCTIONS” is in the process of finalizing the first draft of the DVD in which will present the Scalabrinian services among the migrants in the two Provinces of North America. The purposes of the DVD are the following: 1. A version of the DVD of about one hour as an educational tool for the people we serve, especially those who would like to become collaborators in our ministry. It would also serve as a presentation of our work for the young people thinking of joining us in the priesthood, religious life or the Scalabrinian Lay Movement. 2. A second version of 10 minutes for fund raising purposes to be presented to the foundations that could help us in our development efforts. We hope to have a copy available for all the confreres during the Interprovincial Assembly in Toronto, Canada.

The Scalabrinian Journey in Today’s World This festive season of Christmas and New Year is an significant time to overview what has happened throughout the past year and to be grateful to the Lord for all He has done for us and for the migrant brothers and sisters. It is also a time to plan the new year we are about to begin. It is in this perspective, my dear student and religious confreres, that I wish to share with you a simple Gospel based reflection on the Scalabrinian missionary “journey”.

Walk with the Teacher Jesus chose the simple, poor, and ordinary “journeying” for his Gospel proclamation. Teaching and prophesying while walking the roads of Galilee, along the shores of the lake, in the synagogues and in the homes, somehow, is also the mission style inherited by the disciples. It is the same style we Scalabrinians -missionaries to the migrants -must employ as we follow Him and faithfully strive to follow up in His mission to the world, especially the “new areopagus” -geographical, ethnic and cultural environments -. We will be credible witnesses if we live according to Jesus’ lifestyle.

Why did Jesus choose this way to announce and reveal the Good News of the kingdom? He wanted to make known the “journeying” of the Father, with some specific traits, that we too must espouse:

a) Jesus does not wait for people to come to Him, on the contrary, He is the one reaching out to the people in their daily lives. He reaches out in a special way to the people who are rejected, wounded, marginalized, and who rank as the last ones.

b) To journey with Jesus means: present God close to the people. God reaches out wherever it may be in order to get to all, even to strangers, so that no one will feel forgotten or abandoned by Him.

c) To go everywhere, to be on the move, for Jesus, means not to let Himself be “imprisoned”. No place, no situation, and no historical age will pride itself to possess Jesus. He is free in order to make himself “neighbor” everywhere and to anyone.

d) Wherever the traveler arrives, he is a foreigner, he is a stranger. In His journeying, the Teacher shows therefore that God comes from “outside” and asks for hospitality as a migrant. But whenever He is welcomed and whoever welcomes, will discover that he becomes the subject of hospitality (cfr. Rev 3:20-21).

These traits of Jesus’ “journeying” should help us, throughout the new year, which is dedicated to the theme “Evangelizing Community”, to reaffirm with fidelity and audacity our “journeying”, that encompasses three specific aspects: faithful listening to the Word, fraternal life in community, and mission. We must be free in order to be “neighbors” everywhere and to anyone. We shall tell the migrant brother and sister that God is near and begs for hospitality, but He does not want to be “imprisoned” by the people, places, structures, ideologies, or whatever situations.

The year 2011 will be a time to harvest the fruits of our “journeying”.

Dear confreres, as we close the year 2010, I wish to itemize some positive signs of our journeying as Congregation.

a) Mission with the migrants: • the new missionary opening of the “Stella Maris” Center at the port of Rio Grande, Brazil; • the new missionary project in Haiti as an answer to the earthquake victims (pastoral presence in the tent city, the shelter home for the earthquake orphans, etc.);

• the 2nd

International Forum on “Migration and Peace”, in Colombia; • the first meeting of those in charge of the Apostleship of the Sea and of the Development Offices of SIMN. b) Welcoming God’s vocations: • the priestly ordination of 10 new missionaries; • the first profession of 23 young men at Cebu, 10 at Purepero, and 3 at Porto Alegre,; • 24 novices: 3 at Porto Alegre, 14 at Cebu, and 7 at Purepero; • about 300 seminarians in the Congregation. c) Quality formation programs as required by the PGFS: • the Ongoing Formation Month at Mexico City; • the first Formation Program for formation personnel at Rome; • the meeting of full time vocation promoters at Rome; • the beginning of the St. Charles International Theological Institute at Via Calandrelli 11, in Rome; • the recently inaugurated new house for Postulancy at Cebu. d) Celebrating historical milestones: • 30 years of missionary presence in Mexico; • 25 years of the first formation house in the Philippines. e) At the service of authority: • the XXII AMS at Guadalajara, Mexico; • my canonical visits to the Provinces of St. Peter and St. Joseph; • the meetings of the General Secretariats for the Initial and Ongoing Formation and for the Specific Sectors and Scalabrinian Lay Movement; • the appointment of three provincial administrations for the Provinces in South America. f) At the service of the Church: • the Holy Father Benedict XVI appoints the first Scalabrinian Cardinal: Mons. Velasio De Paolis; • the naming of two confreres to the Pontifical Council for the Care of Migrants and Itinerants. A time not to stumble on the rocks along the journey: On this journey we also experienced some hurts, some drawbacks and some difficult situations. In all of these, the Congregation was valiantly challenged to act upon in concrete ways: solidarity with the earthquake victims in Haiti and in Chile, unexpected illnesses of several confreres, some abandonments from Religious Life and from Priesthood, four confreres gone into the heavenly Father’s arms, conflicts between religious and their Superiors, some cases of self managed finances, not really along with the Rules of Life.

The journey continues… with our eyes fixed on Jesus and on the migrants: We must continue our “journeying” as Scalabrinian missionaries at the service of evangelization to migrants. In harmony with the journeying of Jesus, our Blessed Founder reminds us: “The world marches on. Let us not stand back (…) out of a false sense of prudence.” (Living Voice, p. 325)

I now wish to inform you about some proposals and programs for the year 2011. The theme that will follow us throughout is: “Evangelizing Community”.

Events in the Congregation: a) Formation:

• the 2nd

Formation Program for formation personnel and vocation promoters at Rome; • meeting of rectors of Propedeutic and Philosophy houses; � ongoing Formation Month at Piacenza in September. b) Vocation promotion:

• beginning of the Jubilee Year celebrating the 125th

anniversary of foundation: November 28, 2011 -November 28, 2012. It will engage all of us, together with seminarians and lay people in all our missions; • strengthening our presence in Vietnam. c) Specific Sectors: • meeting for all those involved in specific sectors and lay promotion; • area formation courses for those involved in national/diocesan offices on behalf of migrants; • area assemblies for the Scalabrinian Lay Movements with the intent of revitalizing and strengthening the groups; • consolidation of the provincial/regional development offices within the SIMN network; • the formation courses on fund raising; d) Government: • the canonical visit to the confreres of the Province of St. Paul, from February to April; • the meeting of the three Provincial Administrations of South America marking the closing of the Canonical visits and in view of the unification of provinces; • the appointment of the new administration for Blessed. J.B. Scalabrini Region and for St. Charles Borromeo Province; • the XXIII AMS at Amora, in May; • meeting of the Secretariats on Formation and Specific Sectors, and of the General / Provincial / Regional Bursars. d) Celebrating our roots:

� opening of the 125th

Anniversary Jubilee Year of the Congregations’ founding;

• God’s willing, the celebration of the 100th

birthday of Fr. Enrico Larcher, at Arco, Trento; • the celebration of 40 years of Scalabrinian presence in Portugal; • the commemoration of 50

th

Founding Anniversary of the Scalabrinian Secular Missionary Institute. I invite all of you to join together in a psalm of thanksgiving for the marvelous works that God has wrought for His glory and for the good of our migrant sisters and brothers, the refugees, the seafarers, and also to humbly ask, through the intercession of Bl. J. B. Scalabrini, on behalf the programs we plan to head start in 2011.

La itinerancia scalabriniana, hoy Este tiempo festivo de la Navidad y el inicio de un nuevo año es un momento importante para hacer el balance sobre las cosas hechas durante el año que está por terminar y, por tanto, dar gracias al Señor por todo lo que Él ha hecho en nosotros y en los migrantes, y para programar el año que está por iniciar. En esta perspectiva quiero compartir con ustedes, carísimos hermanos religiosos y seminaristas, una reflexión breve sobre la realidad evangélica del itinerario misionero scalabriniano.

Caminar con El Maestro Jesús ha escogido como forma de su anuncio el caminar, la itinerancia simple, pobre y sobria. El caminar profetizando y enseñando por las vías de Galilea, junto al mar, en las sinagogas y en las casas será, de alguna manera, para sus discípulos la manera de hacer la misión. También lo es para nosotros scalabrinianos – misioneros de los migrantes, llamados a seguirlo, mandados a ser fieles continuadores de su misión en el mundo, sobre todo en los “nuevos areópagos” – geográficos, étnicos y culturales-. Seremos creíbles si vivimos según el estile de vida de Jesús.

¿Por qué Jesús escogió este modo para anunciar y revelar la buena noticia del Reino? Porque quiso revelar la itinerancia del Padre, con algunas características, que deberán ser también nuestras:

a) Jesús no espero que la gente viniera e él, sino que él mismo iba allí donde la gente vivía su vida cotidiana. Él va al encuentro de los excluidos, de los heridos, de loe marginados, de los últimos.

b) Itinerar para Jesús quiere decir: hacer que Dios sea cercano a las personas, ir doquier para alcanzar a todos, aún los extranjeros, para que nadie se sienta olvidado o abandonado de Dios.

c) Andar por todas partes, estar en movimiento, para Jesús quiere decir no dejarse encadenar. Ningún lugar, ninguna situación ni ninguna época podrán pretender de poseer a Jesús. Él es libre para hacerse próximo doquier y a quien sea.

d) Doquiera que llega el itinerante es extranjero, es forastero. Con su itinerancia el Maestro atestigua, por tanto, que Dios llega “de fuera” y pide Hospitalidad en la condición de migrante. Cuando es acogido, quien lo acoge, se da cuenta que es acogido por Él (Apoc 3,20-21).

Estas características de la itinerancia de Jesús deben ayudarnos, en este nuevo año, dedicado a la “Comunidad

evangelizadora”, a retomar con fidelidad y audacia nuestra itinerancia que tiene tres aspectos característicos: escucha fiel de la Palabra, vida fraterna en comunidad y misionariedad. Tenemos que ser libres para hacernos próximos doquiera y a quien quiera para decir al migrante que Dios está cerca y pide hospitalidad, pero sin dejarse encadenar de personas, lugares, estructuras, ideologías o situaciones.

Tiempo pare recoger los frutos de nuestra itinerancia durante el 2010 Quisiera estimados hermanos, al final del 2010, enumerar algunos signos positivos de nuestra itinerancia como Congregación.

a) En la misión con los migrantes: • la nueva apertura misionera en el puerto de Rio Grande, Brasil, con el Centro “Stella Maris”; • el nuevo proyecto misionero en Haití come respuesta al terremoto (presencia pastoral en la tendópolis, casa-familia para los huérfanos del terremoto, etc.); • el IIº Fórum Internacional “Migración y Paz”, en Colombia; • el primer encuentro del sector Apostolatus Maris y de las oficinas de desarrollo de la SIMN. b) En el acoger la vocación de Dios: • la ordenación sacerdotal de diez nuevos misioneros; • la primera profesión religiosa de 23 jóvenes: 10 de Cebú, 10 de Purépero y 3 de Porto Alegre; • los 24 novicios: 3 de Porto Alegre, 13 de Cebú y 7 de Purépero; • alrededor de 300 seminaristas que están en la Congregación. c) En el cualificar la formación según el PGFS: • el Curso de formación permanente en Ciudad de México; • el primer Curso de Formación de Formadores en Roma; • el encuentro de los animadores vocacionales a tiempo completo en Roma; • el inicio lleno de esperanza del Instituto Teológico Internacional San Carlos de Via Calandrelli 11, Roma; • la construcción de la nueva casa para el Postulantado en Cebú. d) En el celebrar la memoria: • los 30 años de presencia misionera en México; • los 25 años de la primera casa de formación en las Filipinas. e) En el servicio de la autoridad: • la XXII ASM de Guadalajara, México; • mis dos visitas canónicas a las Provincias de San Pedro y San José; • los encuentros de los Secretariados generales, sobre todo, de la Formación Inicial y Permanente y de los Sectores Específicos y de los Laicos; • el renuevo de las tres Direcciones provinciales de las provincias de Sudamérica. f) En el servicio de la Iglesia: • el Papa Benedicto XVI nombró el primer Cardenal Scalabriniano: Mons. Velasio De Paolis; • el nombramiento de dos cohermanos para el Pontificio Consejo para la Pastoral de los Migrantes e Itinerantes. Tiempo para no tropezar con las piedras en el camino También en este tiempo hemos tenido momentos de dolor, de derrota y de situaciones difíciles en las que la Congregación se ha sentido, de manera admirable, empeñada concretamente: solidaridad ante los terremotos de Haití y de Chile, las enfermedades inesperadas de varios cohermanos, el abandonado de algunos de la Vida Consagrada y del Sacerdocio, los cuatro hermanos que han regresado a la casa del Padre, los conflictos de algunos religiosos con sus superiores, algunos casos de auto-gestión económica que no son de acuerdo a las Reglas de Vida.

El camino continúa... con los ojos fijos en Jesús y en los migrantes Tenemos que continuar nuestra itinerancia como religiosos misioneros al servicio de la evangelización de los migrantes. En sintonía con la itinerancia de Jesús, el Beato Fundador nos recuerda que “el mundo camina y nosotros no podemos quedarnos atrás”. Les comunico algunas propuestas y programas para el año nuevo 2011. El tema que nos acompañará durante el año será: “Comunidad evangelizadora”.

Eventos de Congregación: a) Área de la Formación: • el 2º Curso para Formadores y Animadores Vocacionales en Roma; • encuentro de los rectores del Propedéutico y Filosofía; • curso de formación permanente en Piacenza, en septiembre. b) Animación vocacional: • inicio del año jubilar vocacional en celebración de los 125 años de fundación: 28 noviembre 2011 a 28 noviembre 2012, que debe comprometer a todos los miembros de la Congregación, incluyendo seminaristas y laicos, así como todas nuestras obras; • consolidación de nuestra presencia en Vietnam. c) Área de los Sectores: • encuentro de congregación para los operadores de los sectores específicos y la animación de laicos; • los cursos de formación de área para los operadores de los organismos eclesiales; • las asambleas de área del Movimiento de Laicos Scalabrinianos, para revivir y renovar los grupos; • la consolidación de la acción de desarrollo de las oficinas provinciales/regional al interno de la Red SIMN; • los cursos de formación sobre el fundraising. d) Área del Gobierno: • la visita canónica a los cohermanos de la Provincia San Pablo, de febrero a abril; • el encuentro de la Dirección general con las tres direcciones provinciales de América del Sur para cerrar así las visitas canónicas y en vista de la unificación de las tres provincias; • el renuevo de la Dirección de la Región B. G.B. Scalabrini y de la Provincia San Carlos B.; • la XXIII ASM en Amora, en mayo; • el encuentro de los secretariados: formación, sectores específicos y laicos, y de los ecónomos. d) Celebrar la memoria: • apertura del año jubilara de los 125 años d Fundación de la Congregación; • si Dios quiere, la celebración de los cien años de vida del P. Enrico Larcher a Arco, Trento; • la celebración de los 40 años de presencia en Portugal; • el 50 aniversario de la fundación de las Misioneras Seculares Scalabrinianas. Estimados hermanos, los invito a unirnos en un salmo de alabanza y en un himno de acción de gracias por las maravillas que Dios se ha dignado realizar a través de nosotros, para su gloria y para el bien de los hermanos, especialmente de los migrantes, refugiados y marineros, y para implorar nuevas bendiciones, por la intercesión del Beato Scalabrini, sobre las nuevas prospectivas misioneras que nos empeñamos de vivir en el 2011.
