Coffee with the principalWe had a good turnout yesterday at this term’s session. A good range of parents discussed a wide range of subjects, asked insightful questions and gave us valuable feedback on some areas of school performance. Thanks for taking part and making your voices heard. We are looking forward to implementing some of your suggestions in coming weeks.

School renewal updateWe are pleased to be able to provide you with rolling updates on our renewal project as they come to hand.

-Our briefing documents are now completed and with the Ministry of Education for review. -We have had an initial meeting with our architect Brian Elliot from DGSE http://www.designgroup.co.nz/index.html-The timeframe for completion is moved back by three school terms, now scheduled for the end of 2018, with a probable start early 2018. Please note that as with any building project these timeframes may also shift.

BOT updateAs mentioned in the special newsletter earlier this week our new Board Chairperson is Cory Bedford. We will run a bit of ‘profile’ of Cory next week so you can get to know him a bit more.

Rex Prebble remains on the Board until his replacement is selected or elected (refer to official notice of vacancy sent home on 28 March). We will update you with our plans to thank Rex for his service to the school later this term.

Have a great week.Mike
